It’s amazing how few people understand this. LSU hasn’t done anything. There’s nothing for us to drop.
This is such an incredibly and intentionally stupid take.
Yes, LSU cutting contact with these guys and committing to not rostering them would immediately end the situation as it relates to LSU. IDGAF if the plaintiffs keep going.

Again why us and not every other institution doing the same thing with players who've got worse cases?
The new LSU regime is not going to get pushed around.

No, but contempt of court is.
It is not contempt to file suit. It is the proper way to battle a court order.

No, but contempt of court is. Sounds contempt-y to a non-lawyer.
It’s not. But it violates the anti injunction act most likely.
The federal suit is nothing and will go away. It’s only there to make sure LSU doesn’t roster these guys should Jorden rule in their favor. Which is not even necessary because the SEC’s state appeal accomplishes the same goal.
The federal suit was dumbassery from the SEC.

Yep so long as they are enrolled, which they are
According to AI, Zxavian Harris & Blake Cotton aren't yet enrolled.
They would have to enroll tomorrow.
The other two are erolled already.

It’s not contempt, but unless you’re fresh out of law school you’re getting an arse clapping from a magistrate if you file a suit clearly intended to circumvent a state court order 500 miles away

So there IS merit to the thought. Highly unethical, it seems, but not contemptuous?

I think Sankey/SEC underestimated LSU in all of this. LSU/Lane has been 10 steps ahead throughout this process.

He may be referring to this court hearing. Isn’t Stanky and the SEC in violation of the original TRO by creating the no nfl guys rule after the TRO?

I don't care what some website says. I'm reading the contract.
then instead of referencing the contract, post it.
like post the entire contract directly so we can read it ourselves.

Contracts.
Can we, as a fanbase, commit to just stop fricking whataboutism. The distinction between us and Texas etc is a contract.
Yes it’s stupid. Yes it’s arbitrary and makes no sense. But that’s the difference and the SEC has made it clear that said difference is what they’re hinging on.
Ok. Yes that is stupid. But that IS the answer. STOP WITH THE WHATABOUTISM. THE ANSWER HAS BEEN PROVIDED.
Repeating that over and over again just undermines the actual good arguments in the players favor

I must confess that I do this in the office, but never while appearing before the Court.

What is a positive outcome of this litigation, for LSU, in your opinion?
