I’ve been happy with linehan from the start. I think he will be very good and the knowledge of the game he brings is great

The most telling and clear contrast is his final season compared to his replacement. Same staff and same personnel.
Linehan - 23rd ranked passing offense 21st in attempts.
Moore- 2nd ranked passing offense 10th in attempts.
The cowboys moved from a more run heavy OC to a more spread oriented modern offense with the firing of Linehan and promotion of Kellen Moore. Sorry facts and shite.

Weird how Linehan only had Cooper half the year. No Witten. No Cobb.
Thats 3 of their top 4 receivers in 2019.
ETA: Didnt Dak also have some hand issues in 2018?

At the Cowboys, Linehan was employed by an offensive-minded head coach in Jason Garrett and thus, ran Garrett's offense and called Garrett's plays as he was instructed to do.
However, when Linehan was in Detroit and employed by a defensive-minded head coach who didn't know anything about offense, he was, therefore, in total control of the offense. Meanwhile, if you go examine Linehan's numbers from when he was at Detroit to when he was at the Cowboys running Garrett's offense and calling Garrett's plays as he was instructed to do, I bet you will see a very dramatic difference.
Go ahead, open up your mind and do it. Trust me, you have nothing to lose by doing so.

Dude was an NFL OC and HC for like 16 years and he's just here to build upon what we already have.
I cant see anything bad about that.

I'm not trying to be derogatory towards Myles Brennan at all, but nonetheless, when I watched Jamar Chase in an interview just before the season started in 2019, he said when he was asked about Brennan, that his short and intermediate passes were pretty good but that his long passes were always off.
Hence, I'm hoping that Brennan is working to correct that issue with Jamar Chase during the offseason this year cause Chase is very good at getting open on longer routes.

Honestly I'm kind of neutral on the hire. I know his history and I'm not really concerned there is going to be a big drop off in offensive production based on his contributions, but I'm not excited either.
There are so many new players from QB to RB to OL and TE that a drop off could be due to personnel. That's not to say they aren't talented, just inexperienced. Brady revamped the offense, but SE called a majority of the plays. We still have the playbook but playcalling will differ based on personnel.
Burrow had already proven he was ready to be unleashed by the end of 2018. The staff will not be as aggressive with Brennan, at least for a while. We now have 3 experienced quality RBs and the plan will be to give them reps so we will run more.
The offense is going to be different, but still RPO. I expect more sustained drives and that's not a bad thing. Finishing the drives will be the key. Linehan was brought in to help with red zone per O and that will be what makes or brakes his tenure here.

I think having texas week 2 again will be great for the offense. A chance for not only us to see that we aren't moving backward in the sense fo scheme but also letting Miles go full slinger and really get a feel for the aggressiveness of the offense they're most likely going to run. I'm a fan of the hire based on experience alone and trusting O but that game being as early as it is will be a really good indicator of what we will see for the rest of the year.

Linehan will be handling most of the redzone/third down calls as Brady was said to in 2019.
This is the main thing. E needed help scoring the damn ball and finishing drives, and we have a dedicated staff member to do so. Linehan has the experience to be successful in this regard. Let’s see if they can pick up where we left off last year.
I think it’s clear this role is much more defined than when we had Sullivan, who was about as experienced of a WR coach you could find. Linehan has got a he play calling and design experience

Lol Wrong again, Micheal Gallup was their second most targeted WR and had the second most catches. And Cooper was their 3rd most targeted WR in 2018 so wrong on that one too. And since you’re so allergic to stats here are some more.. in 12 seasons as an OC Linehan finished in the top half in passing 6 times, the top half in rushing 6 times. Top 5 in passing 5 times, in rushing 4 times. Not exactly “Air Aid” offense but you can keep posting false info if you want to I’ll keep posting facts.

This is not about him being good or not. He’s been an NFL OC for almost 20 years, he’s good. Sidewalk retard keeps saying this guy runs Mike Leech’s offense when he never has. I’ve watched the guy for the last 4 years he was coaching he doesn’t run the Air Aid offense, he hasn’t run any form of the spread in 20 years. He’s been a balanced under center OC who’s coached multiple rushing leaders.
