Tailgating has become a distraction from the game experience. People drink all day and are pooped by 7 pm

We have these three huge jumbotrons, yet we can't figure out how to show actual replays on them. Its odd and very frustrating.

The piped in music DJ needs to be fired.

Honestly I don't know if there is a fix to the problem. For example, the guy who sits in front of me shows up to every game with his 50 kids halfway through the 1st quarter. His demon seeds fight for 30 minutes until he gets frustrated and leaves before halftime. Every single game he does this. I don't think anything will keep this guy in his seat the whole game.

Put season ticket holders on a points system like the students. i.e. if half your tickets don't get used during the season, your chances of keeping your prime location could diminish.

They have it in place already. It's called TAF donations. You don't pay you don't get tickets.

One thing that has shocked me is just how little room there is in the lower SEZ seats. I have the seatback installed. As does most on my row. In lower SEZ the seats touch. In upper SEZ where I sat last year there is a good 2 inches on each side of the same seat.

It's cramped as shite in there. Dude next to me is at least 6 foot 8 and he struggles. If fewer people start coming then they need to take out a few seats and expand amount of space you get.

Rent a wins are typically not worth all the time effort and $ when you can just watch it at the tailgate or at home.

This wasn't a rent a win fool. It was a home and home. That is by definition the opposite of a rent a win

Get rid of the piped in music. Let the damn band play.

I don't know why, but this is the worst thing to me outside of how terrible the team currently is.

The piped in music completely destroys what was once an incredible atmosphere.

This is it for me. Not only would it be nice to see LSU replays but also more highlights from other SEC/marquee games.

1. Cut back or abolish some of the parking fees.

2. Cut back on the piped in music and have the band play more.

3. Go back to old method of allowing students to use IDs to get in.

4. Allow people to choose whic parking lot they want to pay for when they are paying for a season pass for a lot. Allow individual lots to have a waiting list.

Stop rap and other piped in music

Play more in State schools

Teach BRPD how to control traffic

I would definitely do something about people not going to games and leaving early. What idiots make the trip and spend time and money then leave early

There's a reason why so many teams - at all levels - are trying to add to the "gameday experience" with a bunch of things that have nothing to do with the product on the field - it's because if you just want to watch the game, it's far easier, convenient and enjoyable to watch it on your gigantic hi-def TV where seating is comfortable, the A/C is running, the food is nearby, and the bathrooms are clean.

And there is no way to fight that.

Not with 60 minute games lasting 4 hours

This x500. I get that the TV networks paid millions of $ and need to recoup this in advertising but man, that's a long time. Throw in 2 hours before and 2 hours after to go a few miles and it's 8 hours minimum. All of a sudden, only the people who really like football go to the games and I can promise you, that's less than 100,000 which is just one of the reasons why the stadium isn't full.

I disagree with this theory though. If I wanted all these "gameday experience" upgrades, I would stay home like you said. When I go to a game, I don't want to sit in a club level or a suite; I want to be there strictly for the game, band, tradition etc. I'm not there for the brisket nachos and dippin dots -- I just want to watch the Tigers play tough and listen to the band play while having a Tiger Dog and a coke.

And PLEASE, for the love of God, stop the choreographed "Tiger fans, join us in the L-S-U-Tigers chant around the stadium!!!"

It's 100% having every game on TV. With the Alabama's or Ole Miss 2014, you still get the crowd, the atmosphere, the tailgating. But whereas campus used to be full(ish) for the smaller matchups because that was the only way to see the game, now it's way easier to watch the game on TV until it's a blowout, then move on with your life. Or flip to the better matchups. Hell, even when you do show up to tailgate, it's often more fun and convenient to watch on your 55inch satellite TV with your pot of reasonably priced jambalaya and cooler full of cold beer.

Regardless of what everyone here - on this message board comprised of mostly die hard fans - thinks, most fans don't show up to the game to watch the battle in the trenches against Directional U. Most fans show up on gameday to have a fun weekend experience with friends and family, and to escape for just a little while from work and life's worries. When it becomes easier to accomplish this outside of the stadium, you see the disconnect.

Eliminating piped in music, fielding a better product, fixing traffic, and streamlining pricing and logistics are all fine steps forward. But if LSU really wants to return to the gameday experience of the past, they have to find a way to reintroduce some sort of scarcity into the in-stadium experience. Because that's rotting it from its roots.

I share your same views. It's just not fun any more. It used to be all about the pageantry and the experience. Now everything (literally) has a corporate sponsor. And they band is taken out of the equation. Now it's either piped in loud arse rap music or piped in LSU band.

On the sponsorship, they used to say "if you want to compete you've got to make money". Well we're not competing, we're getting worse.

I won't even touch the pregame/post game parking situation. That's just a joke.

Was talking about this with the people who sit next to me. We've been in the same section for 30 years going back to when my parents had the tickets. Most of the tickets in our section on west sidelines are corporate owned. The people who come are different every week. Most have zero interest in the actual game but are there to eat 5 hot dogs, 3 orders of nachos and take selfies. Add this to the pitiful product on the field and you do question whether the value is still there. I no longer criticize those who leave early becausevthe atmosphere and the product on the field do nothing to keep you there. I stay to the end of the game to avoid the traffic. Next year I'm thinking of selling home game tickets and just going to the road games. They are much more enjoyable and less hassle.

Free WIFI, better traffic and parking answers (yeah right), alcohol sales, better food at the concession stands, designated smoking areas, etc would all help a lot in keeping people in the stands, which is why many leave early.
