Tim Tadlock out of Texas Tech is much more realistic. He’s the epitome of what have you done for me lately.

-3 Big XII titles in last 4 years
-4 CWS appearances in last 6 years

Why exactly would it be difficult to get him? We know Corbin’s situation at Vandy will keep him there but I don’t know the story with Tadlock

Not going for 4 more years. The Advocate 6/16/16 “Before this season, Mainieri told The Advocate he’d like to coach eight more years at LSU. He wants to retire as a 66-year-old coach having spent 18 seasons with the Tigers.”

Tadlock is at his alma mater at TT. I think he’d be a great hire but pulling him out of there isn’t likely.

McDonnell at Louisville is the most likely big name that we could get but even then, wouldn’t surprise me if we went younger

BS. He'll come to LSU because of Program Stature, Resources and the most important factor. $$$$$$$$$.

How about a Tim & Kim double hire at the same time.

Tadlock is more an example of the quality of dynamic and motivating young coaches that are out there.

Paul may have some good intuition or whatever but his teams always underperform.

You are wrong, I am not sure why you continue to think they way you do, but you are wrong

I’m being very nice in saying it that way

Let’s wait till the end of the season to discuss this. It’s February. That would be like calling for Coach O’s head after a bad half of football.

I pray Woodward see’s this. This is what your proud baseball community sees in our current coach. I’m sorry nobody truly dislikes PM. It’s just time for a change man.

BIG $$$$$$$$$$ overrules everything. Open the Vault and get him in here. (Just like with KMR)

Disagree.

People would still be very excited about any new blood.

I imagine people learned from the Coach O hire too. If anything that proves new blood can turn a decent and stale program into an elite program again.. even if the new coach had a failed past history.

CPM can't possibly be the only guy to have success at LSU baseball in today's times? Alabama fired their coach after one season and are currently 10-0? Of course they could end up totally sucking this year. There is a ton of baseball left. LSU could still turn it around. Tennessee is 11-0? They got a decent coach.

I feel like LSU recruits itself as long as they are established. Even though we have highly ranked recruiting classes, I believe we could actually improve on recruiting with the right hire. Sort of like Miles and O recruiting..

I see several people trash the idea of hiring Canizarro, but why? Because he made a mistake? I doubt seriously it would happen again. He proved he can coach hitting. He is young and very relatable to recruits. You don't have to poach him from another program.. I don't know. I guess because he didn't get along with CPM or had a bad falling out?

Any ways, there are several options out there. LSU is still a premiere baseball program and I can't imagine all the good coaches would turn an LSU opportunity down.

Fire Paul and then hire Javi and fire him again just to twist the knife.

It is past time for a change. Let Mainieri finish out the year and pull the trigger at the end of the season. LSU can do better.
