Play calling has been atrocious and very predictable.

I don’t understand your question though?

I just wish we would run hurry up offense more often, keep the defense on their toes and let the offensive guys just lock in and play

The OL sucks, it doesn’t matter what you call if the fatboys can’t block.

Hate to break it to you, hes not playing worse than last year.

This is Nuss. Go back and rewatch Ole Miss, Arkansas and A&M.

Spoken like someone who just watches highlights and box scores.

I'm not defending his shitty decision making and other shortcomings. But watching him throw the ball - you can clearly see something isn't right.

Don't take my uneducated opinion though, there's multiple breakdowns of it on Youtube. I'd suggest looking at Aaron Murray's vid on him.

What have been the problems with calling that makes you use the word, atrocious? Can you give me examples of the predictability?

It wouldn’t change anything. He hasn’t progressed.

The problem with Nuss being healthy….

… he then still has to show he’s overcome the low IQ tendencies of last year. We haven’t even been able to scratch that surface yet.

So just being healthy doesn’t mean anything fixed yet.

These people always use the same buzzwords. Muh vanilla, creativity, predictability.

To hear the Rant tell it, we're running 5 base plays over and over.

And get out of the damn 2 TE sets.

I get what you're saying, but given USCe's +DE pass rush I think it would be prudent to feature some 2 TE sets to help our weakness at the tackle positions. Whether that's chipping, blocking into a delayed route or just being present to redirect the outside rush. We have to protect and we have to be able to run the ball.

First drive vs USC, I want you to start a thread and call out every play before it happens

Do it

I bet you can’t even get run/pass correct 50% of the time

Wait until Saturday, you are going to see more of the same shite from two weeks ago. Sloan will sprinkle in a different concept or two to throw off the fans

It’s honestly mind blowing the rant has talked itself into believing that it matters this much

I mean holy shite, just think about what you just said…

You’re saying that an offense coordinator at a major D1 school is going to ‘sprinkle a different concept or two’ into a game to appease people on a message board I mean what in the everlasting frick are you thinking man

The internet was supposed to make people smarter. It’s done nothing but massively over-inflate people’s egos and make average people feel important

I think it will be as vanilla (or non vanilla) as it needs to be to comfortably win the game. It will be more about execution tomorrow night. The OLine has to execute blocks - if they do that then the rest should take care if itself.

In the first half.

You just dont flip a switch in the bye week and become a different offense. Its a process. You can make minor tweeks but to see a difference offense out there is not in the realm of possibility.

I think this is just who Nuss is. He's never looked great in any of the SEC games against the upper echelon of the conference.

The only good team he played well against was South Carolina last year. The others were in the bottom 11 of the league (6-7 Oklahoma, 7-6 Vanderbilt and 7-6 Arkansas).

We actually did a lot of disguising and misdirection in week one vs Clemson, especially in the second half. And it worked. And then it disappeared for most of the next 4 weeks.
