Let me paint this picture for you... (Baseball related)

LSU baseball is obviously facing a rash of injuries. Going into game 1 Thursday we had:
- 1 normal starting position player out due to injury.
- 2 normal starting position players trying to play through injuries (3 if you want to count Cabrera, who most likely isn't 100%).
So that leaves 3 or 4 normal starters either out, or trying to play through injuries.
Fast forward to Friday and Saturday.
- LSU is now playing without an additional normal starter. Two of the non 100% players are done for the weekend. So now, 4 normal position players are out, with 1 possibly not being 100%.
This is about half of your starting line up that is out. I'm not sure if any single team in college baseball can overcome this. With roster limits, it puts a strain on a team, no doubt.
Not to mention, every single starting pitcher who opened your season wasn't available.
LSU lost Friday night and looked pretty damn bad. There were more threads created wanting to fire CPM than there were Woodward threads. People said CPM was 100% to blame.
So wouldn't we give CPM a total assload of credit now for overcoming these totally unprecedented odds to come back and win the series, dominating the final 2 games of the series?

I said it in the game thread, but we sweep this series with a healthy Hess starting game 1.

I said they would win the series. Don’t know what you are talking about.

The fact that you felt the need to come post this, when it was pretty obvious I wasn't talking about you, was probably your subconscious letting you know you were acting like a bitch.

A little sensitive are we? I came to post this because you felt the need to say I told you so or whatever, yet had it turned out differently your arse wouldn’t have come on here to say, well I’m wrong and CPM is a bad coach. You can’t have it both ways.

Check my post history. I damn sure would have not come here to say CPM is a bad coach if they would have lost today. Want to know why? Because losing today wouldn't have made him a bad coach. Winning today didn't make him a good coach either, he was one before the game began.
I was here Thursday and Friday during the melting, defending this baseball team. Just like I've been all year.

quote:So what. You felt the need to defend? Why? I don’t feel the need to defend anything. I simply try to be as objective in my assessment as possible for everything taking into account for things like injuries, There is zero need to defend anything. He makes a bunch of money for what he does.

What did I say Thursday? They were going to win the series.
I also got downvoted like crazy.

If you’re asking if I give CPM credit for the team winning the last 2 games, the answer’s yes.
If you’re asking if I’m convinced CPM has turned this team around, the answer’s no not yet. We’ll see
