Whenever he actually gets around to saying something coherent it's very hard to know if he's telling the truth. Usually he's not.

would you rather him be brash, and a flat out stinky a-hole like Saban?

Every once in a while would be nice.

Like in the post game presser last year for mooST when he bluntly said he told Chavis to play beckwith more, yet he still didn't?

To be honest, it's the first time I can remember him ever calling out an assistant.

Its not natural for him to speak like this. He had a very good teacher training him for this. He only does it when he's speaking with media. Some of u should pay the small fee and go to luncheon and hear this man speak. You will find out why coaches and players like working with him.
I absolutely love the way he speaks to the media. I used to get all butt hurt when he said something alien and thought it made him and us look stupid. Now, I embrace the cringe and smile right along with the best closer in the business.

Well guys, it's your lucky day! I just happen to speak a little Les Miles myself. Let me translate that for you....."We are moving Brandon Harris to wide receiver and he will never sniff another snap behind center as long as he wears the purple and gold.

Your welcome in advance

What I really want to know is- does he speak like this when it's just you and him in his office alone being real? When he's talking candidly with a familiar face?

I've met and talked with Coach Miles on several occasions. He's as real and down to earth as you can get. He doesn't speak in "LesSpeak", but in plain English. He is as gracious and friendly as can be.

I've come to think it's a persona he takes on with the press to keep them confused or amused, one of the two.

No way, I would bet he does it just to mess with fans and mostly the media. I remember the press conference after he had turned Michigan down ( if he was offered ) for the second time and agreed to a new contract. He spoke of his family and LSU and living in Louisiana. That entire press conference he talked normal and not in his usually riddles and codes.

Well he did have brain surgery to remove a cyst that was causing intracranial pressure and a buildup of fluid on his brain.

I understood it right away. Maybe I should get myself checked for brain lesions.
