Les, from the article:
Sounds great when he leaves out "with nothing more than 3 yds and a cloud of dust."
Oh, you...
ETA: Josh Anus is a never-was, fumbling around in irrelevancy while sticking his spoon into whatever pot may garner him some attn.
I bet he has Muscona's mug taped to a dartboard in his garage.
Yeah, I do, too, but not out of envy.

Les is a commentator now and I didn’t find the comments to be a shot directly at Coach O. While it’s impossible to get inside Les’ head and even more impossible often times to decipher what he says or means to say, I think the point was—-Some held him to a standard in terms of performance that they do not hold Orgeron to.—
This thread did kinda devolve into a Les v O deal.
Rather than a Les just being Les thread.
The notion however that O had a huge rebuild job was NEVER part of the decision to hire him. It’s an insidious deflection bcs of the transfers out of the program AFTER Les was fired. It’s propaganda that reached full steam after the Troy loss. And it’s a lie.
Seriously guys, even if you are the number 1 Oregron fan on the planet, no one argues that he as HC has ever shown any ability to build or rebuild a program.
His success, such as it is, was taking over programs built by others and steadying them. That is a talent. But it’s not a build or rebuild talent.
Like all LSU fans I “hope and pray” for the best and 10+ wins seasons and Championships.
But let’s not pretend O walked into rebuild job.

Not really a fan boy. I’m in wait & see mode. I’ve acknowledged the bad & the good. You should try it. It’s called being unbiased

I think Last year showed he clearly isn’t the answer.
He can’t improve this team on his own, and the Canada fiasco and having to pay a Aranda 2.5 million shows the obvious flaws in the CEO Model.
If Ensminger is a success that would be huge and I would have to give him credit for trusting in the guy, by st the same time it kinda clear Ed has no real vision besides recruiting DL.
Which isn’t his vision. It’s What Les hires O to do in the first place.

That’s where I was last year. Orgeron had the perfect opportunity last year to immediately win most of us over, but instead he interfered with his OC’s offense, got his doors blown off by Moo State, lost to Troy, threw his “3rd string RB” and kickers under the bus publicly, fired the OC he hired after his first year costing LSU 1.5 million, promoted Ensminger (who hasn’t run an offense in 15+ years), has the worst recruiting class since 2002....none of that is promising.
Thankfully there were a few promising things to happen over the summer.
But don’t act like we never gave O his chance. He had his mulligan year and a half. It’s win big this year or GTFO.

Remember when it was the OCs fault unber Miles?
Good times.

Miles did the same thing, which is why O promised to let his coaches coach.
But when it came game time, it was Ole Miss Ed on the sidelines again.

People keep saying well no one has hired Miles blah blah, but literally no one else in the country would hire O has HC either.. so I really don’t get the knock.. and I doubt Miles truly tries to get a job. He may say he wants to coach but he is probably content and he’s being paid not to coach.
It’s possible O could find success at LSU and others might be interested.

I don't ever recall Miles hiring an OC then acting as if the man he personally chose and lauded at a press conference months before did the ole swtch-a-roo on him and started running an offense he hadn't hired him to run.
Your memory may be different on that.

Les Miles is now 64 years old. Other than LSU in regards to hiring coordinators and position coaches, are there really a ton of programs out there looking to hire guys on social security? Regardless of whether or not you think Miles is a good coach, are people really pretending his age is not a factor there?

Obviously. He went from ZERO head coaching opportunities to being given the keys to a Top 10 program. It's like he got the job via a scratch-off lottery ticket.

The mother fricker was undefeated but got his arse kicked and embarrassed LSU so no that is all everyone remembers getting his arse kicked you dumbass

You don’t remember 1/3 of our National Championships?

Ok, I don't have a "guy"...I just pull for LSU. I prefer to be as upbeat as I can, because that's my nature.
That said, taking shots at O because he's asking for patience...if Miles had ever opened up his offense to where LSU was feared as a passing team as well as a running team...he'd still be here.
Miles has no ground to stand on when it involves changing up that offense...I wish he'd done that.

You don’t remember 9-6 in Tuscaloosa?
No NCAA team beats Bama twice in a season. They shouldn’t have been playing in that game.
Yet you excuse O losing to Troy and 37-7 loss to Moo State. You’re pathetic.

Something the Miles apologists don’t understand. It was time for him to go. Plain and simple. He was stuck in the old ways and refused to change.
There were people like me wanted him run for several years. But make no mistake, none of us dreamed this bum would replace him. I’d take Miles back in a heartbeat over this proverbial loser.

Just les being les imo. Didnt mean any harm, but he is old school and speaks his mind sometimes when toughness or competitiveness comes up.
