That said, taking shots at O because he's asking for patience...if Miles had ever opened up his offense to where LSU was feared as a passing team as well as a running team...he'd still be here.

What does the second part of this have to do with the first part? I really don't get your point here.

You haven’t, because you never wanted to in the first place. The negative spin to every little thing proves that you just want to soothe your original confirmation bias that he was the wrong choice. It’s human nature, I get it. Hard to correct.

Because that's what E and O are trying to do this year, and thus the call for patience.

LSU has had the receivers, and with the right game plan, could have gotten them the ball more.

Everyone in the stadium knew which plays LSU would run under Miles.

Right. It's a schtick.

Everyone is. We have no other choice and none of us (to my knowledge) can see the future. But rational people can often take a look at the big picture and project how they think things will turn out.

I’ve acknowledged the bad & the good. You should try it.

I have. Retaining Aranda is obviously good. The OL coach hire appears to be a good one. He deserves I guess a little bit of credit for avoiding all-out collapse after the atrocious start to last season. Other than that, what other substantive good stuff is there to acknowledge? Burrow is still TBD as well as whether or not he truly has fortified the line of scrimmage like people seem to think he has. Ensminger is very much TBD and id be lying if I said I had a ton of faith in the short term or long term viability of that hire.

I don't feel like I need to touch on the bad stuff. It's been touched on ad nauseum.

ETA: more good stuff - I'm glad O has at least attempted to modernize the staff by hiring a large support/analyst contingent

That works both ways. The O defenders see what they want to see. Because they want LSU to win (like the rest of us), and O is coach, they decide to ignore any and all signs that O is not an elite (or even a decent) coach. Even after the evidence says otherwise.

I agree but there is also a reason nobody hired O as an DC before Alleva.

Just because you disagree with something doesn’t make it a schtick, you know that, right?

The rest of your post is perfectly rational. Don’t ruin it with this schtick thing

If we did not have Depth issues then What went on in the Mississippi State game with the D line he was having you play true freshman Lineman that was nowhere near ready to play. Just because of two injuries I say that was Depth issues. Why did they have to recruit so many D lineman and linebackers. You all act Miles Wasn’t running this program it to the ground falling behind the Arkansas’s and Ole Miss’s Of the world with all them top-five recruiting classes he was bringing in

That’s bullshite

He had a chance Vs Bama in 2016

He had a chance vs Florida in 2016.

He had a Vance last year

He’s had almost 2 full seasons to show some sign that he can really coach a team and he is exactly who we through the was... a DL coach who can recruit.

Wrong. O could have gone 10-2 or better against the weakest regular season schedule in memory last year and I’d be a lot more positive. Instead, he blew it.

That evidence doesn’t come to light in 1 year, unless you talk yourself into it like you have. A trajectory will develop after year 2 and we’ll
know much more.

2017 was year 2.

In case you don’t remember, O was coach for more than half of 2016.

I didn’t go to tech for football, though that concept is probably lost on you.

With that said, Skip Holtz is a better head coach than Ed Orgeron.
