This should be an interesting thread.
The LM haters have a delima on their hands... jump on the O hating thread and prop up miles... or agree with him and let their O hate take over.
All the while the original O haters are lubing up.

With that said, Skip Holtz is a better head coach than Ed Orgeron.

Holtz wouldn’t have lost to Troy and gotten blown out by moo state with LSU’s talent.

Your picture is of O, are you sure you aren't a fan boy?

Good for Les. Considering the shots O has taken at him he's been more than patient.

This Les Miles was gifted not only Saban talent but Saban coaches (Jimbo). And he still lucked out needing a miracle after 2 losses to win a championship. His coaching slowly deteriorated the program to the point it is today. He is Larry Coker
(Apparently doesn't know Jimbo wasn't on the staff in '07)
(Apparently also doesn't know Miles won a lot more games than Coker)

Take a step back and think about this statement. He's a fricking disaster, BUT was undefeated in the regular season and in the National Championship game. Doesn't make sense bro.
You lost him at "think".

A. it was Miles' time to go
B. the orgeron hire was disappointing
these two things are not mutually exclusive

The AD and everybody else that has to do with the situation did the worst possible thing two years in a row. If Miles was let go after 2015, you have Dan Mullen, Mike Gundy, Justin Feunte, and a myriad of other good/established coaches to go after even if Jimbo didn't want in (for the record, I wanted Mullen over Jimbo). Then when that didn't happen, the next year when O was made interim you should have still had interviews with Mullen, Gundy, Jeff Brohm, and a myriad of coaches even if Herman and Jimbo didn't want in (again I am a huge Mullen fan and he would have been a perfect fit for LSU). Instead we hire somebody that was supremely unqualified. Somebody that nobody else wanted. Somebody that is considered the worst coach at what is considered a below average SEC school. Twice the guys in charge chose ease, money and comfort over potential, wins and prestige.
Honestly, I think Mullen would have come to LSU after 2015 seeing as he had just lost Dak Prescott, and McElwain had just come off a 10 win season and division title at UF. There was no way in hell he would have lost to Auburn or UF in 2016 and no way in hell his QBs would have played that awful vs Wisconsin and Auburn. By year three we would have had an established QB, offense and defense.
If O fails this year (8-4/7-5/6-6) with Burrow and what should be another top 10 defense at the least, he needs to be let go immediately. If they don't, expect the recruiting to take a huge hit for years to come, and the wins to stagnate at 7-8. It'll be worse if you wait too long. Oh, and can we get an actual coaching search on top of that?

Because that's what E and O are trying to do this year, and thus the call for patience.
No, that's incorrect. That's, presumably, why he was hired and why he brought in Matt Canada. When that happened, LSU fans should have given the new OC some time to install this very new system for LSU.
Instead, he got no time at all and a HC that nearly immediately stuck his fingers into the new offense and his coach under the bus. This doesn't even address the minions that were sent out to spread rumors about the guy from inside the football ops building...which, again, should have been a known issue if they bothered to vet the candidate.
The reason LSU is in the position it is in today, nearly 2 full years into the Orgeron Experiment, is because he fired his hand-picked OC and then fired him a year later...costing LSU even more money.
It's hard to say the very person that caused the problem (having to wait while a new offense is installed) has the right to ask for patience. That's just an attempt to shift blame.
