But a BIG draw for a lot of those recruits, especially Louisiana kids, is LSU itself. And many, many elite football schools are like that.
Without a doubt, hes not coming in here and getting 3 or more studs annually. But he would pluck 1 here and there most years. Miles is a great closer and you dont want to face him on the field or in Mom's living room. Add in the ties he has with some of these HS coaches.....he'll get his share to visit Oxford.
Keep telling yourselves he'll run a moronic offense and forget about the Mettenberger days and how well Jordan Jefferson ran that offense with a lot less talent than Mett.
That toss dive everyone wants to laugh at, produced many key first downs in his time at LSU. With no QB presence against teams that had caught up, it wasnt as effective.
Dont get caught up in the moment.
But, make no mistake, LSU ran the toss dive better than any team has ever ran a toss anything at any level, when they had a QB that could complete a forward pass.
Will it be more difficult at OM especially with the sanctions early on? Yes, but Miles will figure it out.
Who can develop players for the NFL better than Miles, which is another "BIG" draw, that you speak of, for some.
OM would be insane not to offer Miles and if they do, I think he takes it.

Hell, even flashing that NC ring and talking about the 50 people he helped get drafted....thats a heck of a recruiting tool.

If O hire Freeze as a special consultant and then OC when Canada bolts next year, that would be something!!!
O should give Freeze a special cell phone with an escort hot line if Freeze is hired.

If LSU ever has to play Les Miles you can bet your arse I'll be pulling for the Hat.
Of course you will. A lot of Miles apologists aren't, and never were, LSU fans. They were Les Miles fans. If he does take the job at Ole Miss, I hope that crowd all moves over the Ole Miss board. Hotty Toddy to your heart's content.

The last thing we need is CLM going to Ole Miss and building a Bama style powerhouse.
He couldn't build one at LSU, why would you think he could at Ole Miss while on probation?

Lets not get carried away. Miles wouldnt make Ole miss into a powerhouse, especially with this hammer about to drop on them- nobody would.
But Miles could do enough at Ole mrs to hurt LSU. Even if he never beat LSU on the field, he'd chip away at the LA fence that Coach O is trying to rebuild. Just keeping MS recruits in MS would hurt LSU, not to mention plucking away some depth that LSU needs from LA.
Frank Wilson would be a more likely and even bigger threat to LSU.

What would be funny is if he went to Ole Miss and started beating both Saban and LSU consistently.
Naaah, ain't gwah happen (the beating part, that is).

BS!
You are an idiot if you think fans cant admire a coach who was highly successful in his eleven years here, but want to beat his arse if he ever brings another teams to TS.
It's laughable that we have clowns who actually think the LSU football coach with the highest winning percentage in LSU history needs an apologist.

Well for whatever reason, there are many who feel compelled to play that role.

They're even worse.

Regardless of prior success, all I know is, in his last 3+ years, Les was 15-11 in the SEC, 10-10 against the West. All with elite recruiting and many NFL players on the roster.
Highest winning percentage is great, and we all give Les credit for his accomplishments, but there was a whole lot of underachievement under Les, especially the last 3+ years.
