I for one hope he doesn't go to OM. He's a huge personality and a force on the recruiting trail.

If LSU has to worry about Ole Miss as a recruiting force then shame on LSU. Ole Miss and Les are not national powers and should not be of any concern to LSU. If they are then it says more about LSU coaches and leadership than it does Ole Miss.

People, CLM got paid a 40K to speak at that convention, just like he did 2 weeks ago up in Oregon. It is what you do when your not coaching. Hit the seminar scene and make some extra bank roll. Nothing to see here move along. Oh yea expect to see him in the booth for the SEC Network,ESPN, and Fox sports this season as he has already signed a package with each.

I've heard some rumblings among the Ole Miss folks that there has been mutual interest between OM and LM.

The best thing Les can do is retire. If he doesn't then he will severely tarnish the legacy he did have. It will be quite evident that LSU made Les and not the other way around.

I love our fans. We just hired a coach that failed miserably at ole Miss.

delta doc ! I thought that for years ,but now I realize that they were more likely over rated because face it , when we chose between offensive recruits and defense we took defense !

Assuming that you have a job, how do you rate your performance in your first job compared to your current performance?

Ed Orgeron is the LSU head football coach. Why not give him a season or two in that role before all of you playground football heroes chime in?

Coach Miles at Ole Miss is a scary thought. He has recruiting contacts all over Louisiana and could give Coach O problems with his bid to protect the state. The last thing we need is CLM going to Ole Miss and building a Bama style powerhouse.

basically swapped the winningest coach in LSU's history for the losingest coach in Ole Miss' history.
Disgustingly factual.

Ed is frickin famously top 10 SEC worst along with Curley.
Both hired by ADs named Joe, and if LSU hires another Joe

He was giving Oklahoma fits with inferior talent.

Les Miles speaking at a Mississippi Coaching Clinic "plausibly substantiates" "rumblings among the Ole Miss folks"

Quite a bit left to be desired here in regards to use of logic

I love ours too, especially the ones who don't care about winning, just want to be nice and love our head coach. Look, they don't have another coach in the country who is more likeable than Les Miles and a better players coach. You don't consistently win championships with a players coach nice guy. All Les had to do was allow the professionals that he hired to do what they were hired to do and stay the hell out of what he had no idea about. Les could be the greatest general manager ever, just stay away from the individual units. It was a slow death to Les Miles really, with his continued screw ups on offense and offensive coordinator it became widespread that LSU was not the place to go for top QB's and then with the best talent in the damn country you couldn't win because the most important position was terrible. That was solely Les's fault and he continued to do nothing to fix it. It's nothing personal to me, just win baby! Whatever it takes! If Orgeron can't do it in three to four years then next man up. We are so much better as a coaching staff right now though, not even close. I could care less what Orgeron did at Ole Miss, Bill Belichick didn't do so well at his first job either now look at him.
