today. I've heard some rumblings among the Ole Miss folks that there has been mutual interest between OM and LM.

The fact that he addressed most of the football coaches in MS seems to plausibly substantiate those rumblings.

If that happens, quite obviously the quasi-rivalry between LSU and OM takes an interesting twist.

It'd be pretty funny. I hope they do too.

He might take the job there if the NCAA accepts Ole Miss' self-imposed sanctions, and they're not on postseason probation for more than whatever they imposed.

If the NCAA drops the hammer and there's more punishment, no way in hell he takes that job.

That's fun and all but you don't want Les at Ole Miss or anywhere in the SEC

His time was up here at LSU but I do not want to face him annually

I could see him in an Assistant AD role, with an emphasis on football recruiting. Similar to Barney Farrar, but with less brown bags full of money.

That would be so awesome. Our defense wouldn't even have to dress out for OM.

That would be incredible news for LSU. He won't build up ole miss if they're on probation, and it nullifies us having to pay him an absolutely fortune. It would make getting rid of O all too easy IF he fails.

However I have to give les at least some credit. He's not going to sacrifice 7 million dollars cash to take over a top 40 program on probation

You'll hope that until he starts beating our arse - which he would.

When he was invited, he WANTED to say "I'll pass"...but, he couldn't find the words. Not in his vocabulary

Why not? Man loves to coach he will still get the same amount of money and have zero pressure on him at Ole Miss. he wins there any where close to like he did at LSU over there theh build him a statue.

All I know is if he shows up in Tiger Stadium and runs a hurry up no huddle aerial attack, I give up!

They will be crippled by sanctions. Miles has to have superior talent to win. He'll have less talent than almost any team in the conference two years from now.

He would not succeed at Ole Miss...though he could potentially stabilize them.

Word on the UM board that Les is being brought in by UM as an offensive line analyst.

That's funny considering our o-line underachieved more years than not.

The best thing Les can do is retire. If he doesn't then he will severely tarnish the legacy he did have. It will be quite evident that LSU made Les and not the other way around.
