If a person is a ticket holder or has bought any LSU apparel or anything else licensed by LSU...I think they have a right to ask (politely) about the state of the program since they've invested in it.

Miles also has "a right" to tell them to phuck off, too.

I feel sorry for Les, all the shite he has to put up with and being bombarded with terrible questions. All while raking in a paltry 3.5 million each year. I wouldn't wish that life on anyone.

Every person in the world has the right to ask Miles whatever they want.... He also has the right to say of your business and then you get to come to the rant and call him an a-hole because he won't tell you his coaching plan.... the nerve.....

I never called him an "a-hole". I merely stated I thought a person has the right to ask a coach a question.

Damn, there sure is a lot of assumptions by people on here.

I doubt anyone's been a harsher critic of Miles than me about this season, but it's totally uncalled for to do anything like that in a restaurant setting. People should respect his privacy.

3.5 million reasons why this is an incorrect statement

What he OWES the LSU community is to do the best possible job he can. Nothing more, nothing Les. You do not have the right to determine when, where or how he discloses HIS choice for the next DC at LSU. You do not have the right to DEMAND that he hire a new DC. The LSU administration does have the right to FIRE him if they think he is not the best person for the job. There ar emany more rights involved, but I think these are the most pertinent to this discussion.

BTW. Purchasing ticketsor licensd LSU merchandise gives you NO RIGHTS other than the proper use of said merchandise. The world being the way it is, LARGE donations to TAF MAY give you access to certain people or information, but apparently not in this case.

He doesn't owe anyone anything. You do not directly pay the man's salary. The only person who can tell you how to do your job is your boss. I just think it's rude to ask him this in a personal setting. If he doesn't tell everyone, what makes you think he'd tell some random fellow?

It's the price you pay being a high profile SEC football coach. More money, more problems. If he was coaching pop warner he wouldn't have any issues.

It's at every level. The little league/pop warner fans are the parents of the players and they feel a hughe a sense of entitlement to express their opinion as to why little Johnny should be playing pitcher/qb. High school coaches hear it in the grocery store, the barber shop, etc.

When you have a group of people who live vicariously through the accomplishments of others (which we all do as football fans) there will be a percentage of them who think they could run things better and a percentage of that subset who are perfectly willing to express that opinion in any setting.

All the coaches must have been in town. I saw Bradley Dale Peveto at Ricks and he said he loved LSU's match up verses GT, and said that He thought he would be running the defense next year.

BTW, this is what happens when you coach at LSU. You make big bucks but also have to put up with IDIOT fans.

There, fixed it for you. (the following is not directed at you by the way) I love the way all of these coaching guru's know everything there is to know about football, hiring and firing coaches, managing a game, handling interviews with the jacka$$ media, etc. I wonder if these "guru's" were put in the same situation as Les Miles......how would they handle it. We'd probably have gone from a recent national championship to super bowl champs.
