Can mean only one thing. LSU gave Miles another raise and they are looking for a bigger house.

I'm going to take a moment and laugh my arse off at your meltdown on this board when Alleva hires Houston Nutt or Mike Gundy to replace Miles.
I feel the same way. I'm hoping for Houston Nutt, Ed Orgeron or maybe David Cutcliffe. Alleva's Duke ties bring LSU the vaunted David Cutcliffe!

Maybe we could rid our fanbase of the chicken littles in one massive suicide. Our team might suffer but we'd be better off as fans in the long run.

But, an intriguing choice would be a current SEC head coach.
Les Miles of LSU probably could be lured to CU. Miles and LSU have just about had enough of each other, and the coach of the 2007 BCS champions has said to friends that his favorite place to live and coach was Boulder, where he served as offensive line coach under McCartney from 1982-86. Would the "Mad Hatter," so named because of his dicey play-calling and odd nature, be the first choice as Les "Miles High"?

Here's a funny line from that Denver Post article:

How come everyone else that quotes the article leaves out the next sentence?
"No."
The article is bringing Miles up and dismissing him as an option at the same time.

I think some of you have that same thing with LSU football that people who have been cheated on by their significant other have - "well, I know he/she is cheating on me and treats me like shite, but I will NEVER find anyone else better, so I'm gonna just put up with the bullshite and learn to forgive".
This would make sense if we were having to put up with "bullshite." We've had more success under Les Miles than our program has ever seen in its entire history. That's worth stating one more time ... We have had more on-field success under Les Miles than we have EVER seen at Louisiana State University in our entire program's history.
I don't care what he inherited, the statement above is fact.
Some of you just don't get that, and never will.

Colorado would be the perfect fit..
5th downs..... probably means time don't matter either.

"I don't buy the fear that you and others have of completely failing if a change were to be made from Miles."
If you can't see the very real possibility of making another poor hire how do you explain his hiring to begin with? IMO LSU has only made a handful of decent hires in our entire history. Our ability to judge coaching talent inspires no confidence in me.

Bingo. We are more likely to end up with a Hallman/Dinardo than a Saban/Meyer. It's a sad fact.

And I'm not saying we should keep him because of the possibility of another poor hire. I'm just saying I'm not excited in the least bit about our chances. It's like Charlie Browns Halloween... Some kids get a popcorn ball. We usually end up with a rock.

LSU has hit homeruns with the last two major coaching hires it has made. Things aren't like they used to be.

I have faith in joe a. and the administration to make a good hire. For the first time in a long time our administration appears to be independent from the louisiana/lsu politics. Joe's only hire is a home run. Most called for A Grant, we winded up with someone better. He's one an s.e.c. title, he has us set up to make another run next year.
I know people will reference his duke hires. It's really not a fair comparison. Is like saying the vandy A.D. should be blasted for not getting a saban, myer, steve s. ect.
i'll give Joe this, he at least tries to communicate with fan base and has done a pretty good job up to this point. I trust him much more than good ole skip as the A.D.
we should have known skip wasn't up to the task when he hired smoke. (and that is the sport he knew the most). If you look at every hire skip made, he down graded the program from where it was. Van, Smoke, Les, schafer over henry, he would do nothing about brady. i will give him credit for Paul m. at least he did better the second time around.

The Colorado 5th down was a direct result of the "Mad Hatter's Luck"!
I don't even know if Les was there when that happened, but it would be funny if he was.
And, Cutcliff would be a giant step-up as OC from what we have now. Head man, not so much.

So now you're rooting against LSU just to prove your illogical childish point. Wow.

Don't be surprised if LSU goes for the home run with Gruden, Peterson, Harbaugh, and in the end has to settle for Tuberville or Del Rio.
