Cam Cameron will only help recruiting but defense is the weakness now.

How about coaching as a weakness?

I so hope this is true. If this disaster continues for much longer it will take yrs to recover

Miles will be the death of this program before we are finally rid of him. It will then take years to restore it if we get the right coach. Just look at what Tennessee has gone through.

Les's has made LSU an elite football program, and by the way this is not 1997.

Here are two problems that come with firing Coach Miles:

1) LSU powers that be are incapable of finding a superior replacement, unless they get lucky -- like, LOTTERY lucky. LSU powers that be are not football people devoted to winning the "Superbowl."

2) Get rid of Miles and we lose the OC and DC. We have great coaches in these positions now.

Told a fellow at work this exact thing last week. LSU is in a "damned if they do, damned if they don't" situation.

Sure we do. Chavis is under some scrutiny now, I admit that.

But this discussion is irrelevant. The OP is correct.

Getting rid of Chavis is honestly not a bad thing for this team. He's run his course and simply isn't as good as people want to make him out to be.

He gets way too much credit as a LBer coach because of guys like Jarrod Mayo. He has 5 LBers in the NFL from his time at Tennessee and only one went higher than 5th round.

Other than Minter, he hasn't brought in one prospect to LSU that he got drafted at LBer or will after this year.
