Same response every time from you Beefense.

wanting to beat Bama=FEAR of Bama. Most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. A previous poster already said it--to be the best you have to beat the best. Fear has nothing to do with it and it's stupid how you associate the two. If you ask any player on the team you claim to love so much I guarantee they'd tell you the same thing.

I don't believe anything Miles says. Don't fall for his smoke & mirrors.

I'm not believing anything until I see it on the field. Same stuff, different off-season. Aranda, Craig, and Juluke are all great hires. Craig and Juluke will keep things on track on the recruiting trail and Aranda will improve the defense (hopefully). We never had issues recruiting and our defense has carried this team over the years... At the end of the day the same people are in charged of the offensive play calling and game planning.

I feel like something has changed in Les Miles

If you believe what has been thrown around, the general feeling is that Alleva wanted Les Miles gone after the BCSNCG. Looking back at the fiasco with John Chavis and allegedly altering his contract, the "Les Miles Clause" in all of the assistant coaches' contracts, and the failed coup back in November to have him removed..... then compare that to the hires of Dave Aranda, Jabbar Juluke, and Dameyune Craig, and it's obvious that the football coach and athletic director are working in tandem for the first time in years.

I have little doubt that it goes back to the fire that Alleva set underneath his feet.

Which makes this all the more hilarious.

It does seem different this time, but I don't blame others for being skeptical.

Skepticism is one thing, but at almost every turn you've got a handful of posters here that will run as fast as they can to their keyboard to slam out a reason for why whatever new good news that's come out from the LSU Football team is doomed to fail.

For frick's sake...by any criteria Miles has had a remarkable off season, removing Steele and replacing him with the brightest young DC in the country, bringing in Jabar Juluke AND Dameyune Craig, and that dark blue chip recruiting class that just signed up. Now we actually have Miles at least SAYING changes are coming...something he really hasn't said before and something ALL those who've been up his arse have wanted him to say...and it's still not enough to even warrant a tip of the cap and a positive wait and see attitude?

Sorry...as much as I'd have loved LSU to win even more the last few years, I just can't be THAT miserable at all times to where I can't gain some level of enjoyment from what's happened this offseason and getting to look forward to 2016. Call it being a realist if you will, but honestly that seems like a recipe for being unhappy damn near all the time.

I hate losing to gumps, but that's a cheap shot to say same putrid LSU effort. This is usually a tough game both teams schedule byes for.
LSU had them on the ropes a few times and didn't finish them.

So....what "other teams" in their right mind will let a competing team watch their practices to see their plays and how they operate?? Wouldn't they just tell Les to come up with his own doggone philosophy and plays?

Yep. Alleva demanded real change and voiced what we've been crying for for years. Its happening and we've had the best recruiting class in a while and everyone thinks its all in spite of alleva. damn shame.

lol how do you have an team full of talent along with the highest paid coaching staff in the country.... and still don't know the concept of finding mis-matches? HERP DERP BIG-10 BO SCHEMBECHLER FOOTBALL, where we rely on tightends that are basically extended OTs and fullbacks to make power football work.

Coaches do this often(out of conference). This is how the spread spread prolific.

At some point, if you can't fix an issue, trying to do it won't be good enough any more. Les now knows this. Hopefully, he can field a competent, balanced offense.

We can only hope and pray that Les has seen the light. Proof will be the results on the field. And yes, I want the Tigers to beat Bama as much as anyone, but we haven't even been able to beat fat Bret the last two years - not even competitive. Really tired of my Arky friends giving me lip.

The state of Louisiana produced 14 players in this class that were ranked on 247Composite as .9100 or better and LSU signed 11 of them. The fact that you think Alleva was responsible for the state being more talent-rich than in a typical year is a damn shame. Now, I will give him credit for bringing in Aranda, Craig, and Juluke because ultimately he writes those checks, but at the same time, I'm weighing that against the Chavis/Steele fiasco.

Alleva lost the power play against Miles when he attempted to force his departure in November, plain and simple. Now whether Alleva is "all in" with Miles, or whether Miles is holding the reigns now is a matter of perception, but the one thing that is undeniable is that Alleva is not lighting fires under anyone's asses at the moment.

When the spread is the dominant offensive style in the conference, and defenses are adjusting with faster and lighter personnel, what exactly would you call matching up a 300 lb TE with a 230 lb LB?

There is a reason we were so much more effective rushing the ball with a healthy Dillon Gordon and J.D. Moore and only some of it has to do with the level of competition.

If there is going to be change then why not go out and get a OC who is an expert at that type of offense? Why do they need to visit other teams?
