So now the purpose of LSU football is to make your life comfortable?

The state of Louisiana produced 14 players in this class that were ranked on 247Composite as .9100 or better and LSU signed 11 of them. The fact that you think Alleva was responsible for the state being more talent-rich than in a typical year is a damn shame. Now, I will give him credit for bringing in Aranda, Craig, and Juluke because ultimately he writes those checks, but at the same time, I'm weighing that against the Chavis/Steele fiasco.

Alleva lost the power play against Miles when he attempted to force his departure in November, plain and simple. Now whether Alleva is "all in" with Miles, or whether Miles is holding the reigns now is a matter of perception, but the one thing that is undeniable is that Alleva is not lighting fires under anyone's asses at the moment.

Alleva is forcing change upon the program from Miles and has been letting Miles rightfully know that his seat is burning at this time. Miles past couple years isn't acceptable for the next 5 years of this program.

Les has pushed all the right buttons this offseason, but I want to see what happens when the lights are on. If he lets his coaches coach and doesn't meddle with something that is working. He always makes great offseason moves and then it's back to the same old Les come the Fall.

Or.... the powers that be have been letting Alleva know that his seat is burning at this time. Alleva's past couple years isn't acceptable for the next 5 years of this program.

AND Alleva knows that at LSU, football is king, so he's loosening the pursestrings and investing in the program hoping for a return on said investment.

I'll believe it when I see a functioning passing game. I've listened to this song and dance before, and it took an all-pro and pro-bowler with an NFL caliber QB to have an effective passing offense.

So if Harris develops into an NFL caliber QB and Dural and Dupre go on to have productive NFL careers, does that somehow diminish the results of the offense?

When the spread is the dominant offensive style in the conference, and defenses are adjusting with faster and lighter personnel, what exactly would you call matching up a 300 lb TE with a 230 lb LB?

There is a reason we were so much more effective rushing the ball with a healthy Dillon Gordon and J.D. Moore and only some of it has to do with the level of competition.

The point I'm making is given all the talent an size we have, we can run over all the cupcakes and weak competition. When November rolls around we face harder competition. We can't impose our will and run over Bama, Arkansas and Ole Miss. Les just doesn't game-plan against their strengths and weaknesses. Both Fournette and Guice can catch out of the backfield. Our WRs are taller than their DBs. Our speed and size is just as equal or better than theirs. Today's game has evolved into strategy and mis-matches, not stubborn power football.

What you want is for the head coach of the LSU fotball team to be a spectator in the games?

Seriously man?

We never attempted to "run over" Arkansas and Ole Miss. Compare the number of dropbacks Brandon Harris had in the first half of those two games to any other two games of the 2015 season. Without Gordon and Moore, we attempted to adjust our offense to play to our strengths, because Mouton and Jeter were not good fits for the same offense we had been running up until that point in the year.

And this hasn't been true, no matter how often it's regurgitated on this site. This is the first year since probably 2012 that we won't be rebuilding on either side of the ball from heavy attrition of draft-eligible juniors and sophomores, whereas the other three schools largely have been immune to these type of departures.

OK snowflakes, I'll play along with you for a minute.
Is your only criteria for LSU success beating Bama?
Then it follows that since you are dissatisfied with the current head coach, he must be replaced. Right?
So who are you gonna hire? Remember beating Bama is the only thing that will make you poor sad little souls happy.
Who to hire?
Think about it. Count the coaches that haven beaten Bama since Saban arrived.
Which one is it?
Which one will you allow to live a happy and fulfilling life?
Which coach has the best record against Saban's Bama?

Serious question, has anyone ever said beating Bama was the ONLY ingredient to a successful season? I know reaching for semantics is typical for your kind, but are you honestly saying when posters bring up the importance of winning the Alabama game, you conclude that they mean that (and only that) game is critical?

No. He can coach all he wants, he just doesn't need to go and abruptly change the script like he's done in games. Hell, he hasn't even figured out clock management yet.

What stupid-assed 'opponent' would invite another opponent to their spring practices and allow said opponent to study their offense? Does Les invite opponents to attend his spring practices so they can study his team. If so, he's a bigger dumbass than I previous thought.
He's full of shite on this one. You pumpers go ahead and believe this shite.

How many times has the "Beating Bama" manta been repeated in this thread alone? Then surf other threads. It is like a religious chant. What other conclusion is to be drawn?

He can coach all he wants except on game day?

Abruptly change the script? Let me see if I understand you. If, during a game Les sees an opportunity to be exploited he should not abruptly vary from the script? Is that it? He should wait till when? Next weeks planning session?

You snowflakes need to get your gripes ironed out. Some of you bitch because he doe NOT change the script and some of you bitch because he DOES. Which is it?

Is it your position that in each and every game there have been clock management issues and that no other coach ever has them. Is that about right?

The kind that sees posters stressing the importance of beating the division rival that has won 4 of the last 7 conference championships and 3 of the last 5 national championship and then drawing the conclusion that beating them and only them is crucial to achieve our program's goals.

Try not acting like an oblivious retard for a few seconds and ask yourself why that is. You and beefense's zomg-worst-fans-evar and non chalant why-do-you-whine-so-much approach to a sports message board is quite the bore

Yeah, Why can't we be more like those that jump into every thread crushing any positivity (which there has been a lot positive lately) by saying they aren't getting excited until LSU beats Bama?

That seems like a horrible way of being a fan.
But please continue to call those out who are excited for the season

Does it say that the visits involve opponents?
Just for your information, since you don't understand how things work. It is very common for coaches either singly or in groups to visit other teams during the spring, It is very common for coaches of many different teams to attend coaching clinics.

Perhaps Les isn't the one who is the dumb arse here. Ya think?
