So now the purpose of LSU football is to make your life comfortable?

No, obviously. But the notion that making the fan base happy is of absolutely NO importance, is asinine. It's not a top priority, but it is important.

Alleva is forcing change upon the program from Miles and has been letting Miles rightfully know that his seat is burning at this time. Miles past couple years isn't acceptable for the next 5 years of this program.

I agree, it comes down to Miles, he has everything he needs to be competing for championships every year. His staff is the highest paid in the country. losing 3-4-5 games every year is unacceptable.

a lot of signs point to a improved, more productive, open style of offense this season besides Miles just saying these things.

We went to a lot more shotgun 3wr sets on offense in the 2015 offense than in past years. We at times tried to get a passing game going just with Harris not up to the task yet.

The Texas Tech bowl game points in a direction we want to go.

The hiring of Craig whose background is more in that direction.

Plus Miles said it.

Yes it would be nice to believe what he says, but I've gotten use to watching what he does and I just don't know if he's capable of anything different. We will see. I like Missouri's slogan. "Show me."

Forget that he is the head coach?

Sometimes watching him with that deer in the head light look during the game, particularly when we are getting our arse handed to us by the usual suspects, I wonder about his mental faculties and whether that brain surgery he had left him permanently debilitated as far as reaction time and ability to adjust in the heat of the moment. Has the game passed Les Miles. It shouldn't take much longer to figure out one way or the other.

Who allows their "opponents" to visit their spring practices?

Bid deal he changes the spring practice. I have no faith in it carrying into the fall and games. He will get cold feet and revert back to his comfort zone.

Les is the light ,we don't need much change just more experienced play, A little luck, better refereeing and more fan support might stem the the trickle of athletes we miss out on, Coach Miles is great and negatigers stink, Les and LSU rock !

This is pretty much how every offseason has been for last few years. Everybody is excited and making a big deal about changes. Still no changes have been made to the biggest issue: The offensive scheme

Same old Same. There is a segment of fans that refuse to let any one be positive about LSU football because of their irrational hatred for the head coach.

I wish you'd get a dictionary and learn the actual definition of irrational and hatred because neither of these terms apply in most of the posts about Miles.

Fair criticisms? Of course...but far from hate or irrational.

It's not quite that simple. Coaching is a profession of two things; good ole boy networking and copycats. Most coaches, including Nick Saban, meet and consult with other coaches during off seasons. Sort of like going to a conference and discussing things with other professionals. Meat head guy typically screams, "if our coach needs other coaches to explain to him how to coach, then he's an idiot and should be replaced!" Many professions including teachers, doctors, lawyers, surgeons, etc all meet up and swap ideas fairly regularly.

This of course contradicts the complaint that LSU doesn't look at what works for other teams and doesn't adapt to modern football.

Sorry for the word vomit.
