Legendary moment from Vandy game last year

Fearless Joe dragging his sack on the Vandy sideline. Damn I miss that guy.
quote:
Vandy delivered a late hit on the sideline, and Burrow turned back, approached the player and — according to one staffer — informed him he’d throw for 500 on him now. He threw for 398 before getting pulled after three quarters.

Came here expecting to see Baskerville's big game on special teams. Blocked a punt and recovered it for a TD. Later, he would nearly add a second TD after recovering an onside kick and returning it all the way to the Vandy 1.

Most swag I’ve ever seen from a football team. We knew we were gonna win every game. And we let the other team know it

I miss Joe.

The GOAT
If ever there’s been,
Truth in something I wrote,
It’s five little words,
“Joe Burreaux is the GOAT”
But son if I told you,
On the day that he came,
No One would have believed,
And it’s truly a shame,
If you’ll give me some time,
I’ll tell you what I’ve learned,
How a boy from Ohio,
Taught us greatness, is EARNED
‘Cause when life throws haymakers,
Never give in to doubt,
When you’re flat on your back,
You’re just down, you’re not OUT.
Don’t pay them any mind,
Those that tell you you can’t,
For the seeds of defeat,
Will take root like a plant,
If Joe had decided,
The naysayers were right,
That he wasn’t enough,
Like a lesser man might,
No one would know his name,
Nor would I write his story,
But he dared still to dream,
And fought each step to glory,
In Joe, Coach O saw something,
Most would miss at first glance,
Sometimes all a man needs,
Is a second, fresh chance,
Perhaps it was because,
O had been in his shoes,
When no one thinks you’re worthy,
You’ve got nothing to lose,
And the road’s never easy,
When the going gets rough,
If you falter, they’ll tell you,
You ain’t good enough,
You can let losses break you,
Or from losing well learn,
How to fix your mistakes,
Get back up and return,
Just as the darkest night,
Is dispelled by the day,
Winners never give up,
And return to the fray,
And with spit in their eye,
Lessons learned from the past,
Treating each coming battle,
Like it could be their last,
Going balls to the wall,
With no hint of surrender,
Giving all those in witness,
Victories to remember,
Those who play not to lose,
Are with swift time forgot,
Those who seize destiny,
Against all odds, are not,
And no matter how humble,
Or titan, the foe,
They left no score unsettled,
LSU, Joe and O,
When the season began,
They were long odds to bet,
But when all said and done,
Not a soul would forget,
How the Tigers had roared,
On each side of the ball,
How the team with no chance,
In the end, won it all,
How they went from dark horses,
To sweeping the awards,
But to prove them all wrong,
Was the sweetest reward,
Now the doing’s all done,
All the records are broken,
When folks speak of the greatest,
There’s no argument spoken,
And the boy from Ohio,
Who they said couldn’t hack it,
Now stands as the champ,
At the end of the bracket,
And the Coach that was laughed at,
Now he has the last chuckle,
For he ground down the greats,
Under his coonass knuckles,
And there’s no ounce of falsehood,
In these words that I wrote,
There ain’t no competition,
BIG DICK JOE IS THE GOAT

Major thing I’m hoping for this weekend is for Myles (and the rest of the team too) to start getting a little swagger going. need to start building confidence with the trip to gainesville only 2 weeks away
