There are only 32 teams in the NFL. Most teams only carry 2 QBs some carry 3. I would say max there are 80 QBs on a NFL roster. Just no that many open spots for an avg at best college QB.

And as most talking heads like to say - there are at most 16 to 20 real starting QBs in the NFL in any given season. There are transitional QBs and backups forced to start.
There is room for a J. Lee somewhere. Even if its only a 2 year tenure, you don't need to be a career player to say you played in the NFL. And its an honor, regardless, to have held a roster spot for even a limited time.

Neither of them will make NFL rosters. Foolish to think otherwise IMO. We'll find out soon enough I suppose.

Lee's arm isn't strong enough for the NFL

He may not ever catch on with a team but that statement is totally inaccurate.

Wasting a pick on Jefferson would be a mistake for any of the teams out there.

I want to see Jarret get drafted by the Broncos and then start over "the chosen one".

I just want someone to post the tangibles he has that would make him enticing to an NFL team.

Arm strength-nope
Pocket presence-nope
Elusiveness-nope
Abity to read defenses-?

Played for LSU so some people are biased on an LSU board-yep

Josh Booty, Craig Nall, Rohan Davey, Matt Flynn, JR all got a look in the NFL.

I think the single game passing record holder for Green Bay got more than a look.

Lee is a decent qb when the oline can keep his jersey clean. He takes his eyes off downfield when the pocket starts to break down. I'd be supposed of either were drafted. Hey here is an idea, how about we cheer for BOTH TIGERS to get drafted.

TJ Yates was an average QB at UNC and he won games in the league this year

Yates was a lot better than average his senior year and the main thing that he's been lauded for in the NFL is his composure, something Lee lacks.

Lee needs to handle the blitz better then he'll be okay in the NFL as a backup.

Yates handles a pass rush better than JL, for sure at this point.

He was drafted in the 7th round...you could argue that his career trajectory thus far has certainly exceeded expectations.

I don't think either really has a shot at getting drafted

But Lee could make some noise as an undrafted FA if he puts in the work and gets on in a system that is suited for his skills

No doubt. IMO JL's reaction throughout his career to pressure is what prevents him form being a good/great QB. I just don't see how a guy could all of a sudden become good in the pocket when going to the highest level of football.

I know Brees is not a good comparison since he is an elite qb but look at how he moves in the pocket. I don't think that is a skill that can be taught.

JL's arm is so strong he could kneel down at the 50 and throw the ball into a defender hands at the 30. FACT!
