don't look for the same from JJ. Lee may have to hold the clip board for a while, but I predict he'll be a good back-up in the NFL...

I really doubt either of them make it. Just calling it like it is. People have a very inflated opinion of Lee.

neither will. If you watch lee against that Alabama defense and then say "he can play in the NFL" you have lost your mind

Uhhhh. OK.

ETA: I love the kid so I hate when people make retarded statements and I have to say something negative about a good Tiger player.

Lee's arm isn't strong enough for the NFL, mediocre footwork and often failed to step into his throws at the SEC level... Lee seems a tremendous young man but he had a 'deer in headlights' look even when he was succeeding.

I wish him every success in business, law school, or medical school but two years from now he is definitely bilged out of the NFL.

don't think he will get drafted, if he does will be real late. but yeah i could see him making a practice squad with some team.

JJ was a one dimensional and occasionally good RUNNING QB. He was a poor overall QB. He never developed field vision and pocket composure. It was always someone else's fault. He never saw or admitted his weaknesses and when he had those rare great plays he was oh-so-eager to act like superman and as if this proved him worthy as a strong Qb, which he clearly never was, and doubtfully ever will be. All that being said, just as I hoped he would while in purple and gold, I hope somehow he gets some coaching and learning and makes an NFL roster. I doubt it, but he might as well try. This is America, the land of opportunity, and all it takes is one Miles-like thinking GM or HC in the NFL, and he'll find a place on a roster.

How many NFL QBs has LSU made look silly over the years?

We're not talking about him starting. We're talking about him being a backup.

Josh Booty, Craig Nall, Rohan Davey, Matt Flynn, JR all got a look in the NFL.

They all looked terrible at one point or another. I would put Lee's skill set somewhere around Josh Booty as far as recent LSU QBs are concerned.

His release and arm are not a issue at all. It is all about his composure, decision making and footwork.

Could say the same thing about Chad Pennington right?

There are only 32 teams in the NFL. Most teams only carry 2 QBs some carry 3. I would say max there are 80 QBs on a NFL roster. Just no that many open spots for an avg at best college QB.
