Absolutely when you start costing universities’s money and you were hired to do what’s in the best interest of the university then you gotta go so I don’t see how in the end some of these presidents and chancellor‘s aren’t fired especially if there’s a discrimination lawsuits and civil rights is brought into it. They have no choice but to fire them because then it looks like they employ people who commit discrimination, etc..

Actually a pretty good point. No G league player has gone to NBA hof... Many cases of international pro ball before NBA ending up in hof.
I doubt they institute no international pro rules anytime soon though as that would knock out players from a lot of college teams

While I appreciate the breakdown, and completely agree with what you are saying, what is the point...? How does it benefit LSU to continue the embarassment for the SEC? If we burn it all down, what is the point...? To what end...?

I’m not saying it was the only legal strategy but it most certainly became a factor in their overall strategy.,

Dude, no. Just no.
This wasn't some grand plan thought up by a dark-side brain trust at LSU to set a trap for the SEC. Nor was it a conspiracy by the black hats at the SEC to find a way to remove LSU as a potential contender in the conference.
It was simply a comedy of errors, with each event following as a result of previous events.
Start with the 5 for 5 ruling. A bunch of students were told that they could legally go back and play their 5th year by a court, regardless of what the NCAA said.
That resulted in said students trying to get spots on rosters, two of which were at LSU. That's logical.
LSU said they were going to accept the students as players since the courts said it was okay. Logical.
Then the SEC got into the fight and said "we don't care what the NCAA or courts say, we're not going to let you roster or play those students." Again, a predictable (if somewhat nonsensical) reaction.
LSU was caught in the middle (remember they didn't initiate or participate in ANY legal proceedings) between two students with legal standing to play and the SEC threatening fire and brimstone if they did. So they let the players enroll at LSU but didn't roster them.
The students then amended the suit that they'd already won to include the SEC. The SEC, predictably, balked, and the two specific students in question went to court in Baton Rouge (where the school they chose was located) and got a TRO against the SEC because they were likely to succeed in their suit.
SEC and Sankey respond predictably and start threatening LSU - again a natural follow-on result.
Kiffin and LSU said they'd follow the SEC policy (which they did), but they refused to "bend the knee" in contrition to Sankey who was acting like a petty tyrant. Predictable, and logical consequence.
Sankey was called to testify in BR (as expected) and made a complete fool of himself under oath, and then left BR at lightspeed in a rage (understandable, although it was self-inflicted).
Here's where it gets interesting: at this point rumors start to come out about LSU getting "ejected" from the SEC. If there was any conspiracy in this whole debacle, this is where it started. Current groupthink is that butthurt Tennessee and Ole Miss were behind the push to start the ejection vote; Sankey, still licking his wounds from being humiliated, gladly joined the posse with his own torch and pitchfork.
Sankey and the SEC then file a suit in federal court seeking the "right" to kick LSU out of the SEC because, reasons (that he couldn't define under oath). Supposedly, Tenn and OM were whipping votes with the other SEC schools to make this happen.
All the while, Kiffin and LSU are still caught in the middle - can't roster or play the players because the SEC has released the Kraken, yet are also reluctant to break their commitment to let those players play (also logical - Kiffin coached them at OM, wanted them at LSU if it was possible, plus they would have grounds for damages if LSU went back on their word).
The final act of this play occurred when LSU rostered two other students. My guess (and a logical assumption) is they thought it would defang the SEC's threats while also giving the two players a firm target to vent their ire at: the SEC and Sankey for pressuring LSU to renege on their commitment.
TL/DR - To me, this was simply a predictable train of events that anyone with an unbiased eye could see. Again, the only nefarious plot possibility was Tennessee and OM possibly conspiring behind the scenes on the LSU ejection proposal. With Sankey's bruised ego they might have seen an opportunity to pursue that course of action.
Other than that, seems like a simple chain of events to follow.
