I see how some defend Woodward. He had success. Kelly was a huge failure but we did have athletic success.

Two things can be true. Woodward meddled into sports especially the football program and made a lot mistakes and bad decisions while also making political moves in the background that ticked off the Gov. While the Gov also made a spectical out of this to dance on his grave and insert himself into sports when he didn't need to.
However, neither was right. I don't necessarily agree that Woodward "had" to be fired as many people make mistakes and can improve on it but Woodward also set himself up for this when he decided to meddle in the football program. Landry needs to remain out of football but he did so for likes and votes even though thats not the way to do it. He is making a joke out of the program and it pisses me off.
But don't be disingenuous by saying that Woodward was trying with JC to make LSU "great" academically. This is the biggest load of BS.
