Gonna be hard to keep him off the field if Leavitt continues to turn it over. Hes a bit of an upgrade from what I’ve seen from both so far.

He didn’t really have a lot of attempts in garbage time. Its hard to make too many judgments on that. But I’m glad he did look comfortable.

what a good problem to have.
sam has issues placing ball where it needs to go,
dont need a rocket arm or dan marino release
but need accuracy and ball placement and have to read a D.
spurrier would not hesistate to bench a Qba nd chew his arse out and play the hot hand.

He’s def capable of winning game and management of offense. With our D ball protection field position is paramount.

I like what I see so far from Landon Clark. More accurate passing than Leavitt and just as good, if not better, at running the ball. He's our future QB.

Leavitt has thrown for 550+ yards, run for 150 yards with 7 total touchdowns in 2 games. Can we just let him play and enjoy watching a productive offense. Those int can happen to anyone. Just enjoy the ride and relax

Look, Clark did look good throwing the ball, but have you not seen time and time again that when you make the backup the starter, then suddenly under the pressure of being the starter, they look VERY average if not terrible?
First I want to see Clark get some meaningful snaps. Give him a series or 2 in the 1st half in a tight game. Then maybe they can start accurately evaluating whether he would be the better starter.

If Leavitt keeps this up and LC were to keep playing well, it might really test Lane's "we play the best player, not the highest paid" approach. I think he follows it for the most part, but that might really test him.
I'm not giving up on Sam yet and not going to anoint LC based on just playing against the backups, but Clark's throws seem to be a little more crisp and he also has running ability, though I don't believe he's as fast or elusive as Leavitt.

they had all summer to evaluate them. By all accounts Clark looked lost against the LSU defense.
playing in the 4th quarter against LA Tech's and Clemsons backups is so meaningless there isn't much else to say. If you don't realize that you are a retard

You can say what you want, but he is a better passer than Leavitt at this point. I hope Leavitt shakes off the rust quickly.

The best thing about Clark is that LSU has an insurance policy if Leavitt goes down. He seems very comfortable in Lane's offense.
