You COULD NOT BE MORE WRONG! These last few generations are garbage. The parents of little kids from the late 80’s started this shite with that participation trophy bull shite. This freaking entitled arse group doesn’t understand what it’s like to be committed.

So just like the generation before them? The baby boomers (or the Veruca Salt generation as I call them because their entire life was “I want it and I want it now” and damn the consequences to anyone or anything around them). The most spoiled, entitled, generation of crybabies that ever existed. Go on and ask the generations (not that there are many left) that came before the boomers and they will tell you exactly this. Hell my grandfather (who served in Korea and WW2 called the Vietnam Vets who came back with their PTSD complaints as “just a bunch of pussies and cowards who couldn’t fight in a real war if their lives depended on it”.

And honestly if giving little kids participation trophies in sports triggers you so much, your pathetic life revolves around sports entirely too much. Who gives a shite if every kid in T ball gets a trophy.

We have good OL besides Lance Heard. The dude was just selfish.

Maybe selfish, maybe just entitled. He felt like the LT position was his from the start. Any real competitor knows that’s not the way it works. Not concerned about this considering our O line depth.

admittingly I don't understand the nuances of the Oline positions.

But I would think a great OL player would be able to play whatever position is needed of them, especially going from L tackle to R tackle.

Makes me wonder how good he is if he doesn't seem to have the confidence in himself to play the other side of the ball well enough.

Edit: imagine Chase transferring out in 2019 because he wasn't going to be WR #1

Probably one of the worst kept "secrets" of anything LSU related lately.

I wish him every bit as much luck in the transfer portal as Walker Howard has experienced.

Then you should be pushing for scholarships to be given as a 4 year deal automatically.

I totally disagree with your outlook on NIL, but you’ve got a point about the way scholarships are structured. If the player is in good standing and makes the grades, he shouldn’t have to sweat it out year to year if he’ll get cut.

Baby Boomers? Sure.

The Me generation followed us.

I can agree with this. For some reason we became learned and thought books are better than home learning when it comes to family and child care. I will blame my fellow boomers for following this path.

Well, they did do that some this year where Jones moved inside and Heard was at RT.

If they believe that amount could be life-changing then they really don't understand finance today. That amount could be half-gone in a year if spent carelessly.

plan was for him to come in and compete for a spot.

Of course and Heard looks weak as shite for leaving at this point in his career. Talking to people around the program, he was going to be given every opportunity to be one of the best five. Maybe he knew in his mind that wouldn't happen so he's looking to go elsewhere. Either way, it's a bad look for Heard.

Teams caught tampering should be given post season bans and scholarship reductions.

There's likely a tinge of racism in Heard's decision also.

It may not be Will or Jones he is scared if, it may be Davis.

Davis is a prototype, Heard is awesome but a touch stiff
