know several men who have had their wives cheat on them, they were free from fault, and the women still got the house, child support, etc.
Louisiana has at fault divorce for adultery. If proven, and the person seeking divorce is free from fault himself, it precludes the woman from getting alimony.
Child support is a different animal entirely, and community property is still split evenly.
But many people just go the no fault route because it’s easier, but you’ll end up giving the woman the store.
This case seems to have come from the LASC’s rather dubious finding that the buyout was community property because the contract was signed during the marriage. I say dubious because his salary wouldn’t have been community if he had kept coaching here. Guess I need to read the decision.

Thanks no fault divorce.
That’s why I said it couldn’t have been a fault divorce. He probably got around too and couldn’t show lack of fault.

Unless fault has not bearing on community obligations right?

I'm aware! (Not being a smartass....I just went through a divorce).
All three scenarios the men had photos and a PI that documented the cheating. One even had photos of her sucking dick (photos through a window). Didn't matter. All got half after everything, child support, etc Guys spent a fortune on lawyers only to have judges/mediators favor the women.

Correct, and it doesn’t. I haven’t read it yet, was just responding as I went through the thread so it wasn’t clear at first if this was an alimony or property division situation.

Yep, it sucks. Property division is a bitch in those instances, especially if there’s income disparity in the marriage where the wife doesn’t work or does something menial.
Pro-tip: marry a woman who makes more money than you do

I talked to someone who knows Ed pretty well after he got the settlement. He told me that Ed is the typical coonass who comes into a lot of money all at once…predicted that it would all be gone inside of 5 years, and that Ed would be looking for a job again.
Looks like it only took 4.

BS. Les did it to himself and should have been gone after 1/9/12. Stop looking for scapegoats for that dumbass. Saban knocked the lucky horseshoe out of his arse and he was done.

I did. I also make good money myself. And guess what happened when I went through my divorce? LOL
My lawyer flat out told me: You are a man and you will get fricked. Save yourself some money and just agree to XyZ. If the roles were reversed, you would be getting a check every month even though you didn't need it...
Basically, just give her her half, split everything going forward, and walk away. You won't get what a woman would get. Yes, the law states ABC, but since you are a man....

Sound legal and life advice.
But, a wise man once said, "you do have to slide between those sheets on the marital bed every night....."

Orgeron and a couple other members of the staff were behind the 2015/2016 firing of Les.
Orgeron tried to oust him in '15, but LSU retained him.
You do realize Les had a dinosaur offense, refused to change, and was beaten by 17 by Arkansas two years in a row and by Ole Miss (by 21) in 2015, right? And he had multiple sexual harassment complaints and was given orders by LSU to stay away from coeds in the scope of his work, but did it anyway. I mean, the dude had a harassment complaint from his 19-year-old babysitter for his kids and allegedly mounted her in his office. Les Miles got Les Miles fired.
