Lacy seemingly acts without concern for the consequences of his actions.

Only a Jalen Carter level talent, who was in a very different scenario with all parties involved in street racing, coild make it. Basically he would have to have a real defense, and not be charged.
Then he might get a camp invite. Because he is not a Jalen Carter level talent (elite DT/pass rusher). More like mid WR talent.

Kyren Lacy’s shot at the NFL
I was bored, so I decided to look up "American Football in Other Countries" on ChatGPT. Here's some of Lacy's options when he gets out:
quote:
Canada
Canadian Football League (CFL): The CFL is the most established league outside the U.S., featuring Canadian rules that differ slightly from American football, including a larger field, 12 players per team, and three downs instead of four.
Mexico
Liga de Fútbol Americano Profesional (LFA): Mexico's professional league, founded in 2016, has been growing steadily and has a strong football fanbase.
Fútbol Americano de México (FAM): Another semi-professional league, it competes with the LFA for prominence.
Europe
European League of Football (ELF): Established in 2021, the ELF is a professional league featuring teams from various countries, including
Germany, Poland, Spain, Austria, and others. It seeks to revive the popularity of American football in Europe after the NFL Europe era.
Various national leagues: Countries like Germany (German Football League), Austria (Austrian Football League), and Finland (Maple League) have long-standing semi-professional leagues.
Japan
X-League: Japan's top American football league features corporate-sponsored teams. The league is well-organized, and the Japan national team has performed strongly in international competitions.
Brazil
Liga BFA (Brasil Futebol Americano): Brazil has a growing American football scene, with the BFA being the country's top league. The sport has gained popularity due to the NFL's global outreach.
Australia
Gridiron Australia: This semi-professional league includes several regional teams and has been active for years, showcasing growing interest in the sport.
China
China Arena Football League (CAFL): The CAFL is an indoor football league that launched in 2016 but operates intermittently. It aims to combine American football with Chinese sports culture.
India
Elite Football League of India (EFLI): Launched in 2011, the EFLI attempted to introduce American football to the Indian subcontinent but struggled to sustain regular seasons.
Other Notable Countries
South Korea: The Korea American Football Association (KAFA) runs amateur and semi-professional leagues, with growing participation.
Italy: The Italian Football League (IFL) is a prominent semi-professional league in Europe.
France: The Ligue Élite de Football Américain is the top division in France.
Sweden, Denmark, and Norway: These Scandinavian countries host domestic leagues that feed into broader European competitions.
Lacy gonna be catching passes in Korea.

He’s toast. A guy in Shreveport just got sentenced to 15 years for basically the same accident. He crossed the center line, made a few cars crash and at least 1 person died because of it.

Kyren has a good chance to play in the NFL. Donte Stallworth actually killed a man while under the influence served 30 days in jail suspended from the nfl for a season and went back to the league after. Don’t listen to these fools. These hateful posters are the same ones who says Donald trump is a law abiding citizen.

Stallworth was still technically over the legal limit from the night before and killed a dude that was in the roadway. He wasn’t driving like a fricktard

And he is going to suffer for it. He could grow up a lot by getting the message out that what he did has consequences.

It could come down to how motivated the family of the deceased is to be compensated or to see justice with time served
The only way Lacy is compensating them involves him playing football.
Maybe the compensation from the insurance carrier of the car that actually hit the vehicle he was in is sufficient and they want to see him serve maximum sentence.
But I don't think the outcome is obvious at this point.

after he gets out of prison? If he gets 5 years, he will only spend 2.5 years behind bars
He’s not getting any prison time. Despite the scary sounding charges it’s hardly like he’s facing 1st degree murder charges. It’s a non-contact hit and run. So firstly, the Prosecution is going to have to prove he was driving, then prove he caused the crash. Tall orders considering he himself didn’t crash. No charge of DUI either. This is hardly the slam dunk of a case. A lot of people are drawing similarities to Henry Ruggs — Ruggs was going 156 and intoxicated. And crashed. None of that is what happened with Lacy.

The NFL will not draft him because of the bad press. He will be an UDFA (maybe) even if cleared. If he still has eligibility, he should take his name out of the draft, and you have a Trey Holley situation.

Yes, he graduated last month.

i don’t think this is that big of a stretch. Jalen Carter was arrested for reckless driving after also causing someone to die in the process, and he’s having quite the start to his NFL career.
Granted, Carter is much more talented than Lacy

He killed somebody. Served his 30 days . Played football again. End of story

You have to be Jalen Carter good for the NFL to ignore you killing a bunch of people in a vehicle.
