if u wanna make money in a womens sport you had best play tennis, golf or basketball. brittany mack told me years back when she played for the old now defunct NPF akron racers. They pay peanuts. zero money in softball for these girls once they are done with college ball as far as playing.
now as far as coaching that is a different ballgame. see beth.

Base rate for AUSL is 35k for 27 games

NPF average was 6k for the whole season about 10-12 years back. Some made up to 10k. it was dirt fricking cheap. poverty pay.

Exactly! But, I do have a problem IF Heavener was in Kylee and other LSU players ears about following her to Tech, while they were NOT in the portal.

I think we are blaming Beth for lack of NIL funds situation. Softball has very
limited earning potential after college, so you really can't blame them for chasing the bag to get what they can get when they can get it.
With the popularity of our gymanstics and woman's basketball teams, softball lags far behind in support of women's sports and we will have a problem retaining good players from transferring to teams that will pay them significantly more NIL money

Like many others I think her time has passed. LSU doesn't seem to have the inclination for upping NIL for softball. It's just not a high priority for the PTB.

Too bad for you the administration doesn’t see it that way, funded about mid pack and that’s what they finish in the sec. The facility is dated and old, the indoor is elite but the other parts of facility are bottom tier of the sec. I’m with you let’s increase the nil to 4 mil like TT and overall budget to 6-7 like Oklahoma then see what happens…you in Semjase?
