Saban regularly recruits and (somehow) gets on campus kids who many think will be academically ineligible. Think about that. He recruits kids that can barely pass their high school courses. Somehow, they never have issues learning the offense or defense.

Odd because every defense we play knows our offense.

Maybe he recruits the ones that need to be smart in the right places....where the offense is the most complex...

Now look up Alabama’s composite score.

They must suck.

and by the way lsu is 2nd in the sec in graduation rates in the sec. behind only Vandy.

The difference is that the Vandy players actually have to learn and take real classes......not have some paid tutors take a a bunch of online classes for them . Do any of the starters actually have real majors other than "Sports Management."?

you do realize that the players have 20 hours a week on field practice time with the coaches, right? so its on the coaches to come up with a way to teach the offense.

I only had three hours a week in college with a guy who could barely speak English teaching me Quantitative Business Analysis....I started figuring it out by the fourth week.... These guys get 20 hours in a week. I'm with KJ Malone on all of this, we have some stupid, stupid people on the roster.

Yea man, maybe......or maybe the simplest explanation is correct and Ed Orgeron just has no clue how to run a program.

And by the way, Alabama had a a linebacker not too long ago named Reuben "Radio" Foster. He was borderline retarded and played ILB, a position that requires a complex understanding of the defensive scheme.

I get it. It's o's fault that Canada is having a hard time teaching his players the offense

I call bullshite
If you know that your players are not picking up on an offense, then you need to recognize that and fix it. O either didn't do that or didn't recognize it in time. And if he did, he doesn't know how to fix it, and you know that's true. Either way, it's incompetence.

Or you can go with where the evidence points per Devin White. Guys are not putting in the time. THAT"S ON A HEAD COACH. It's his job to keep the guys focused. It's his job to make sure the assistants are keeping the guys focused. They don't care because they don't respect their coach. Probably because he's an idiot. Miles was an idiot, but he still got the best out of the players (except QBs).

The answer is obvious and you know it. Stop making yourself look like a fool.

Ever wonder why When a Bama wr catches a screen to the outside...there almost always seems to be 2 or 3 blockers ahead of him...

...but there is almost never anyone blocking for the LSU WR in the same exact scenario?

You made my point.

Alabama with a comparable composite ACT score still gets their players ready for the play calls. And they run them like a well oiled machine.

ACT scores my arse, that’s COACHING.

Why were many of these same players able to grasp the offense last year but can't grasp it this year? Did they somehow lose the ability to comprehend offensive schemes in 8 months?

The only changes I saw last year in the offense was that Ensminger changed the blocking schemes to more zone blocking which is actually a more simplified blocking scheme than what they had been doing.

I think that goes for the head coach, as well as the players.

We criticized Miles for meddling, but at least he seemed to understand what was going on out there. He had a play sheet, and was chattering into his headset a lot. Here's how I imagine things went:

2nd and 8 following a sweep left
Miles: Looks like we're getting movement on the right side of the line, what do you see up there?
Cam: yeah, definitely getting a push
Miles: Let's work that, I want a weakside toss dive. How's Red Slash 48 X 2 sound?
Cam: we don't have the personnel out there, need a fullback, Moore's out. X-7 would work
Miles: That's with 2 Tight ends, I want somebody coming downhill on the backer ... oh shite we're under 15 on the play clock. Damn. OK get that in
Cam: 'k

Took forever, but he was involved. On the other hand, I watch O and I get this impression:

2nd and 8
O: uhh, why'd you run that?
Canada: it was 1st down at the 30, safeties been cheating in, coach
O: oh. Where's Guice?
Canada: Bench.
O: Oh, ok, run Darrel then. let's go
Canada: gotcha, coach

Our team looks like shite and some of you want to give a free pass to the head coach. THE HEAD COACH. The guy who is at the top. The guy who has failed at everything he's ever done. Your statement holds true for yourself.

Grimes has always taught a zone blocking scheme. We didn't change to a zone blocking scheme after Ensminger took over.
