The idea of zone blocking schemes now illicit violent physiological responses in me now.

especially with 4 guards and 1 tackle and that tackle is playing center. great for run blocking, not so much when they cant fire off the ball

Considering the number of OL available, it may not be coaches. What alternative do they have?

Malone: "I feel like a lot of the guys don't know the offense yet."

Reporter: "Any Idea why that is?"

Malone: "I don't know. It's the easiest offense I've ever learned."

That shows a lack of effort and discipline. It's not an intelligence problem bud.

Can you explain what scheme Grimes was teaching before Ensminger took over OC duties? I'm confused, I thought Grimes has always taught a zone blocking scheme.

Please be as specific as possible. Thanks.

we have 8 4 star olineman on the roster right now. thats just 4 star.

while this excuse is valid against bama ,auburn, and uga it does not carry weight against Mis st and troy.

there are literally dozens of oline coaches that would love the oline talent that is presently on our roster.

coaches ARE SUPPOSED to call plays in a game that the players have PROVEN they can run in practice.

Or maybe Malone's the only linemen that understands it....who the hell knows....

If it's so simple then why are O and Canada talking about simplifying it....

The problem lies somewhere....one camp thinks it all on O.....the other camp think maybe the players are just not too swift...

The question I have is...why so quick to condemn O and not even for once consider maybe some of the players are not very swift...???

Yeah. True. I've considered that too...maybe it's a combination of the two...

We can argue it until pigs fly....but a knee jerk reaction "coach O got to geaux" is not the answer...

O was talking about simplifying it. It failed. Then Canada took back over. That's actually factually what happened.

He's comparing it to his past offenses. Including Cameron and Ensminger.

these guys have no "background" in this offense

Neither did Pitt. They were scoring in the 70s in some games. Offense ran smoothly with them. What's our issue (excuse)?

wait, do you think he is good, or not?

when you were proven wrong in that thread, you came back and said that you never doubted Fitzgerald. Now you are trying to rub it in on me again?

I have my doubts that Canada's offense is simpler than Cameron or E's

That's great. I'll trust the guy who actually learns it and plays in the games.

And simpler does not mean worse.
