There is no rivalry between LSU and the Saints. I'm diehard Saints and LSU fan. They probably just ran into some douchebag Tulane fans in New Orleans.

LSU fans have been all kind of stupid about this one. Apparently sloppy circles and fast moving colors makes a band better.

Jesus dude, being in the band is one thing, being a band nerd is another.

YOU DID THE SAME HALFTIME SHOW TWO WEEKS IN A ROW!!!

Another band came in and entertained YOUR fans more. Thats your job at halftime and they did what you couldn't do. I don't care if they did it with a blue monkey farting the melody to country roads, if its more entertaining, its more entertaining.

TGBFTL is MUCH better than what they showed last night, they are much better than "The Pride", BUT you got housed last night. Deal.

Anyone watching the band knows that they played the exact same halftime show as last week. Their lines were terrible. Their band was better simply because it was entertaining and something we havent already seen this year. I love our band but they have been pretty bad at halftime this year. Pickup up shite lady ga ga songs and a SAINTS inspired song. Sorry they are better than that.

Incorrect.

ETA- MANY people (LSU fans) have commented on how much better they enjoyed the Pride's show last night. So much so, it made it back to WVU boards.

Most Saints fans are also LSU fans and vice versa.

It's often the most idiotic who are also the loudest.

Yeah, it is what it is......
On a positive note, he's like a two time national champion or something. (I don't keep up with baton twirling)

So in other words they're Tulane fans. Tulane fans don't pull for or follow Tulane nearly as much as they pull for LSU's opponents.

Tennessee does not have this problem at all. Go to a game in Knoxville and you'll see plenty of Orange as well as Titans merchandise on almost every vehicle and person.

their fans didnt know much about any football outside of the sec

thought we were in the mountainwest, then acc

said they had more talent than us (debatable on offense)

said they should have still won by 4 tds (lol)

we had no clue what we were doing (lol)

jefferson is better than geno (lol)

were surprised texas lost (didnt know until after our game; texas game ended at like 6---5 hours earlier
Lol at the guy who said this.

He says "they" as he is indicating that the entire fan base voted on this. 1 LSU fan says something and he bases it off the entire fan base.

This was the greatest experience of my life. Stayed with a friend's father who is a WV fan in Laplace, about 30 minutes from Baton Rouge. Friday night on Bourbon Street every other person was wearing blue and gold. Had Let's Go Mountaineers going from the balcony to the street at every bar. Got to their tailgate (his neighbors are diehard LSU fans) under the big oak tree across from the baseball field around 8:30 AM on Saturday and was overwhelmed with the atmosphere. Never seen anything like it. Tents every 5 feet, all with plasma tvs, satellites, speakers, dj's at every couple tents, drinking games everywhere, barbecue and jambalaya like I couldn't imagine. GOT A DJ TO PLAY COUNTRY ROADS. Walked around the stadium, saw the tiger habitat (tiger was lazy and laying in the shade like I would have liked to!), saw their band march into the stadium. I must've been called tiger bait 25 times and was given beer, shots, and a bowl of food each time. Physically I couldn't eat or drink anymore by the time the game came along. Friendliest people I've ever met. Many said they were looking forward to coming to Morgantown next Sept. 24th and I can't wait to show them the same hospitality. I will say that we need to step our tailgating game up next year for this game or they'll laugh at us.. Stadium was enormous and loud is an understatement. Sold alligator sausage at the game, and no I didn't eat any. I'm now in love with the SEC and can only hope that we end up there when the Big East dissolves

That was at my tailgate. Those WV people really had a great time.

Interesting comment here:

one thing that surprised me was most people in New Orleans were not LSU fans. They were 10000% rabid Saints fans but most people that we talked to said they hoped we beat the snot out of LSU.

Either they were talking to Tulane snobs or low life ghetto trash

There are plenty of LSU fans in New Orleans

I've always found that bastion of old line New Orleanians who turn their collective noses up at Baton Rouge, and really all other parts of the state, somewhat oddly & even pleasantly amusing in an Ignatius Reilly sort of way.

You can always tell who they are by their refusal to call Baton Rouge by its name. They'll very sweetly make reference to it by alluding to it as... "up the River."

This is the same in Louisiana. The only exception is Tulane 'tards and a very, very few who are die-hard Saints and dislike the attention that LSU might take away from them. To be fair, there are also die-hard LSU fans that dislike the attention that the Saints might take away from them, as well.

Most people are both LSU fans and Saints fans and a few little anecdotes doesn't change that.

Trust me there are plenty people in NOLA who are die hard LSU fans. Me and my friends among them. They ran into some a-hole Tulane fan or a transplant.
