Fans deserve a competitive product on the floor, not details on everything that happens inside the building
Coach is protecting her player and that’s what good coaches do. Take that away and you won’t even have a competitive product to show for it

Exactly. And since Reese is a student athlete and Mulkey is technically an “instructor,” the coach is bound by FERPA rules. It’s just ignorant to think that Mulkey can go blabbing to the media or anyone else about Reese’s grades.
These media people get an overblown sense of their actual importance. That is all they—and all the posters on this board—need to know.

Can anyone honestly claim that she is as good or better than any of the eight Mickey D All Americans already on SC's roster, or any of the ones already signed for next season (another 3 AAs) ... she's not better than any of SC's current or future PFs, 4s, big girls ... just being honest here.
More importantly ... she's too disruptive, too self centered, too hubrisic and egocentric.
ETA: I wish her well but she will be a bust in the WNBA.

Almost assuredly. She’s not a generational talent. She’ll be a much smaller fish in a bigger sea in the WNBA. She’ll still be pretty but that doesn’t get WNBA players very far. This is very likely the height of her fame and earning power from that fame.

Not saying anything also tells the other players if they screw up, CKM still has their back and not going to throw them under the buss in front of the media. She handled it right up to this point.
