Kentucky came into the game with a chip on their shoulder.

Unranked at 4-1 after overcoming a 17-point deficit on the road at South Carolina and winning in OT. They probably should have been ranked. Then they pull off the upset against LSU and go from not ranked to #15. Their coach may be a horses arse but he sure had his team motivated last night.

We know. LSU lost their chip after week 1. LSU is now the mid to low tier of the SEC. Ole Miss, Missouri and now Kentucky has surpassed them. Think about that for a minute.

Everyone plays LSU with a chip on their shoulder except Bama and UGA.
Why? Because those 2 don't have to prove anything. LSU is Ole Miss, Kentucky, Auburn, Florida-level right now. However, we're paying coaches and players as if we were Bama or UGA.
We're not. We should stop thinking that way until we are again. If ever.
(ETA: We should play with a chip on OUR shoulder. Maybe we would win a few of these meaningful games.)
