Because Kelly risked Nussmeier’s health for a better chance to win. I bet a lot of those folks surrounding Kelly were infuriated by Kelly’s lack of concern for the wellbeing of Nussmeier’s health and future NFL career.

If all the golf stuff, lack of full staff meetings, and not wanting to talk to recruits stuff has any truth to it then there's definitely cause.

That is the entire issue "if it was the truth." We do not know, we will never know. People here get a grain of information and it becomes fact and they run with it. I agree that he was not a good Coach at LSU. But I am almost positive that if LSU could have fired him without paying him they would have done exactly that. For me that is the most truthful thing. LSU admin and lawyers are snakes when it comes to this stuff, I am sure they tried very hard to find something that would hold up leagally.

You should call LSU and tell them. I’m sure they had quite a few attorneys weigh in with their respective expert opinions, but no one thought to ask 4LSUinSC what he thought.

That for sure would hold up in court.......
. Nuss could have sat himself out at any point if he was really hurt that badly. What do you think was happening? Nuss was saying I'm hurt and Kelly was beating him with a stick, forcing him to play?
All the rumors based around Kelly not properly doing his job and you pick this for your case to fire with cause? Any one of the other 10 rumors about his job performance would have been a stronger case than your idea.
