Good. Clearly the NCAA isn’t going to do the right thing so crucify them in the media.

This interview is really kind of showing how much it's affecting the Fulton family.

He said that the waiver will have to be applied for by LSU, not by Fulton and his attorney.

That was hard to listen to.

Feel for the kid and his family.

Still unsure about this waiver being talked about other than LSU has to apply for it. If LSU's NCAA compliance staff is involved you can bet your arse it's going to be done incorrectly if at all.

Yeah

I think the rule/punishment certainly needs to be looked into for future occurrences

2 years is an absurd penalty when you consider you only have 5 years to play 4

Jordy is completely right in stating that LSU needs to get in the ear of guys like Booger McFarland, Marcus Spears, and other LSU personalities that are now on a national stage.

Agreed.

Pull NO punches.

Don't let up, do it through the season.

Here's an idea: grant Fulton a full NLI release. Appeal as a non-student again. If they grant it, re-enroll at LSU. Call their bluff.

The correct strategy now that mercy has been denied is to do as much harm to the NCAA’s reputation as possible. The word “ athletic plantation” on ESPN every 5 minutes would work. Just unleash the cultural hounds.

Ryan Clark, Ryen Russilo, Booger, Spears, Shaq, Peter Burns.

He's right, PR has to be better.

That may be the correct strategy, but it's not a good thing and it's certainly not accurate.

The NCAA interpreted the rules correctly. Is the punishment too stiff? Yes. But, it's dishonest to use the term "plantation".

If I was LSU I would let Ryan Rusilli and Scott van pelt know also. Can you imagine Scott van pelt leading sports center with the NCAA and Fulton case.

Is it possible that this waiver process was the plan all along? NCAA sticks by their guns and therefore no rule impacts. LSU applies for waiver and testimony on circumstances and behaviors gets considered for sentence reduction???
I have no faith in that but seems odd that the ruling was immediate and this was brought up immediately afterward...

That may be the correct strategy

Which is what I said.

but it’s not a good thing

I would tend to agree in a perfect world where rational people behave honorably. But the NCAA is neckdeep in Identity Politics bullshite . So on a strategic level- serve them up a gigantic helping of the same dishonest and duplicitous BS they spit out every day . They are the kings of PC pontification- so let them choke on it.

1. If LSU ever runs across a Major investigation with Alleva in control.... we are done.
2. As long as your staff is beating their wife your alright like Urban Meyer.
3. If you are in Oklahoma fan its ok for your players to beat their players

Hopefully these guys can take Saban’s dick out their mouth long enough to mention something that would be helpful to LSU.
