No he’s really not. The muffin top man is too worried about being woke. He pushed around 180 lb DL in 1A high school ball. It’s an entirely different ballgame now.

He's a RS freshman who suffered a knee injury a year ago. Give the kid some time.

Some of you must think HS recruits are like NFL draftees. Some of them need time, especially ones that got hurt their freshman year.

The kid mauled every defensive lineman in every camp, not just 1A players. Can teach size but definitely can teach discipline, technique, competitiveness. Hope he comes back as a complete monster next year - it is time.

By the end of the 2019 recruiting cycle, he was a borderline top 100 player (97th to be exact). He's not the 5* athlete that people thought he was early on.

How incredibly out of touch. If you can't keep things in perspective, it's probably best not to read what 19 year olds say on Twitter.

Pulling for him but KARDELL’S technique was poor coming out of high school. He overpowered people. No finesse. None of the finer points. YOU WILL HAVE NO SUCCESS trying to overpower d linemen in the SEC. It just doesn’t happen in the SEC. Add the injury and it is a long road for

Yes, what happened to that class of linemen? Where is Anthony Bradford? What happened to Thomas Perry?

Not all is lost. While Kardell played in only 1 game, Bradford played in 8 games and Perry played in the last two.

Kardell looks like a bust, but the other two are improving.

I think this offseason will determine his future at LSU. The offseason is when you work your butt off to prepare your body for a long SEC season. At this point, if he's not motivated to get in tiptop shape and break into the starting lineup next season, then he needs to move along. I really thought he was going to come in and dominate from day one, but I was totally wrong!

It looks like the coaching and development is lacking if we cant get any of these guys ready to play.

I think it's just still "wait and see" talented, yes, bad built and top heavy, yes also, add that to what was obviously a pretty bad injury..... He still has PLENTY of time but his attitude and work ethic will decide what happens to him

Depending on how the "re" recruitment goes for the current slate of guards Ingram and Hines,

Hines wouldn't be drafted. Ingram is NFL ready, I don't expect him to return.

It is now or never for the kid. It is his time to work himself into a starter. I am still pulling for him.

I was at the 2019 spring game and I stood next to him and Bradford. I was completely shocked by how short he was. I’m 6’1 and my first thought was there is no way this is the guy from the videos I saw. Bradford was massive Kardell might be 6ft at best.

Too soon to call him a bust. He's a RS Freshman and will be again next year.

The blocking scheme looked like it was all over the place this year. 2019 looked like a zone blocking heavy offense. This year looked like half were trying to zone block and the other half were hat-on-hat.

Assuming most linemen come back, should have some very healthy competitions for playing time, especially at Guard.
