Kansas Jayhawks in the PMAC next season?

Looking ahead to next season’s SEC-Big12 Challenge, and I think we have a really good shot at hosting the Jayhawks in the Maravich Center. Hear me out...
Two-year cycle for the teams. You play a home and road game in those two seasons. Kansas hosted Tennessee this season. We played at Texas. They usually try to match up top teams as best as they can. Kentucky always an option, as they played on the road against Texas Tech this season.
But here’s the kicker: Kentucky plays Kansas to start next season in the State Farm Champions Classic. They shouldn’t schedule a second game a few months later.
So where could Kansas play?
Kentucky (see above)
Auburn (hosted Iowa St, will be on road)
LSU (road this season, hosting next)
Miss St (road this season, hosting next)
Florida (hosted Baylor, will be on road)
Those are the top 5 SEC teams from this season, and I can’t imagine they’d send Kansas to anyone who finished lower than that.
I honestly think we wind up hosting the Kansas Jayhawks in the Maravich Center next season.
Thoughts?

God I hope this happens
The Oklahoma game in the PMAC was unreal. Easily the best I've ever seen the PMAC

KU is my “second team” if you will but no brainer for me

I thought it was a weird thing where they went off two seasons ago so we would get whoever won the Big12 last year.
So Texas tech at home

Never heard of that. Would suck since we just played them a few years ago in Lubbock. Hopefully that’s not the case.

Thought the new format was a two year cycle of the same games (ie. We'd host Texas next year)?

Not how it’s done.

I thought about that a few weeks ago. I assume it will be either KU or Texas Tech. But like you said, I don’t really know where else KU would go.
VCU is coming to the PMAC. Syracuse is already on the schedule. If you add Kansas to the schedule then you would have to think even the most casual of basketball fans would start to take notice

Really? Do you think it was just a coincidence UK played Texas Tech this season. Or that Kansas played Tenn, after two years of a first and second place SEC finish?
It’s a “made for TV event”. Thus, they are going to try to put together compelling matchups. In fact, the OP is right and I’d be somewhat surprised if LSU wasn’t matched up with KU next season

It’s based off the previous two years average ranking in your conference. Then 1v1, 2v2, etc. right? Or did it get explained to me incorrectly.
