looks like KU saw an opportunity to parachute out of the bad on field results and jumped at the opportunity. I doubt this actually had much to do with the LSU issues

If you compare the programs, Ed had a worse season. KU is a 2 win a year program.

I find it funny we still rag a coach when we currently have one that beats women and has a gigantic ego. And hires Les' buddies.

Wouldn't you think that with all the Ed O haters, and there are lots of them, that they'd have dug up any recent dirt on him if there was any?

We did have a good team in 2011 and that team was all les's recruits. He also keep us relevant after but the team down the road was always just better. hopefully this embarrassment doesn't screw us.

I know, 3-18 right? And I guess by "better place", he means more college chicks have been mentored.

Does Les still have the apartment in Baton Rouge he was using to assemble his "coaching team" during the time he was unemployed after LSU? Maybe he can head back there.

Lol. I don’t. I’m sure it was “mutually agree and get some buyout, or we fire for cause with no buyout, and enjoy the long drawn out legal battle over it.”

I still remember threads where posters were clamoring for him to be AD or work in the AD office!

Les' ego thrived on the attention he got from being quirky and saying unintelligible shite. Now, all that is gone and all the money he has won't help him in that regard.

Wonder how much Kathy and the kids knew about all this?

That'll turn those 0 to 2 win seasons to 0 to 3 win seasons. You'd think that a HC with a Natty could do better.

It's fricking Kansas.

Miles said "it is in a better place now than when I arrived."

Miles is right.

Kansas was 3-18 in 2 years under miles, including a winless year this year with only 1 loss by less than 15 points.

Hope he saved his money. He's too toxic, now, for literally any other job.

Shame. He as a relatively unique individual for college football and was incredibly likeable (despite his public and professional flaws). You just don't know people from their outward appearance in many cases.

2020 record---0-9... One victory next season would be a huge improvement, so I stand corrected.

Why did Les automatically get a free pass for being a shitty coach and losing to shitty teams just because "It's fricking Kansas"?

Because it's fricking Kansas.

Last year it was all conference games.

They year before, in 2019, they won as many games as they had won all decade.

Miles has dramatically improved their recruiting.

They were #6 in Big12 recruiting. They had not seen that in over a decade. They had usually been dead last in recruiting.

He must've loaded up on several 2 & 3 star TE's and a plethora of scholly punters & kickers.

And they were objectively worse in those games than they were the year before.

They had the exact same conference and overall records as the year before he got there.

Still TBD. And even if true, recruiting /= success.

And the year before they were dead last in recruiting. And before you try to argue otherwise, miles was hired in November 2018. He had more than a year to recruit the 2020 class.

You’re also conveniently leaving out that they signed 22 players last year while the teams that finished behind them in the rankings signed 17, 18, 14, and 12. They were still #10 in average ranking.
