There wasn’t a semblance of a running game—all the defense had to worry about was the passing game-shouldn’t put too much in these spring games

I think LSU not having a running game is a huge red flag.

I think LSU fans not understanding we had one healthy rb is a bigger red flag.

It’s the spring game.

Emery is probably good to go but there is no reason to risk him in a scrimmage.

2 healthy Rbs coming in the fall.

No red flags.

TDP was the only scholarship RB that played, and even he missed some time this spring with injury. We get healthy and get the freshmen in, we should be fine.

Coach O said before the game that they didnt have enough healthy running backs and that they were going to air it out at the spring game.

They aren't going to look crisp until after the summer. I wouldn't put any weight on spring game optics, even with the QB battle. All meaningless.

A converted LB was our 2nd team RB. Please do research

I don't think that the spring game should be cause for concern, but we do need to see some improvement this year at the running back position. I hope they have something in place like the 10,000 catches the receivers did two years ago. A back with good hands will certainly help the quarterbacks in this offense.

There’s a thing called “context”.

LSU only had TDP available. Koy Moore and a walk on WR/LB were playing running back.

My thoughts exactly. Only one healthy running back.

The two highly regarded freshman should help make this position pretty strong.

But it’s okay to risk TDP? I think Emery wasn’t quite ready.

Ready to see what the freshman RBs will do this year. Think they are both going to be studs especially Goodwin

Exactly! These games are for evaluation and deep dive training on certain elements. One question is who is in the drivers seat for starting QB. We will not have a 4 way competition. Efforts were to whittle that down to a manageable 2.

What else were we working on... DB's and LB's, pass rush.

And finally, installing new OC scheme/plan if any different and new DC scheme/plan/calls

Several potential contributors were out for Spring for injury rehab and several new guys who will see the field not on campus yet.
