The coaches were doing what they were supposed to do, expose the play..GT should be happy and never run that formation again.

so now if we ever run into another team who will have the same weakness, they'll know now not to use that against LSU b/c we'll expose it.

It was unfortunate because he wasn't being beaten on the play.

well if you're an OL engaged with a DL and they try to spin, there is very little else you can do

the DL is the one who put his neck into the arms of black

Miles explained the call this way:“We have some pretty nifty special teams guys. We felt like we needed to steal some possessions and keep the ball away from their offense.”

As long as the BCS runs supreme, you have to run up the score, I hated when teams do it to us, but I know it deep down. Meyer & Stoops have known that for a while now, last year, Miles saw it as well and since then, he tries to be as classy as possible, but still get us the style points necessary.

I commend Coach Miles for that

I would have loved if LSU put another 35 points on the board! like someone here said, its a football game......they should have stopped us from putting more score up!!!

me too

i wish our coaches hadn't got obsessed with running it up and we had just kept keiland in to run our base offense

oh, and run scott on the goaline. that woulda been a score in the 50s without even trying

yeah we needed to keep the ball away from the offense, that's why we ran long bomb after long bomb after the fake punt. to keep that clock running and to keep GT off the field

Football is a 60 minute game. Play hard to the end,I don't care what the score is. These kids need to learn don't let up,because when they get in the world of the workforce or the real world, this is the only way you stay on top. There is a time to relax and a time to perform, don't let the two mix.

38-3 pls give me a fricking break. look at the two teams in the championship game. yall are a bunch of pussies. it is called making a statement. we havent even had the biggest margin of victory this bowl season. if we would have played this hard all season we would have only lost one game to uf. im sry 38-3 is not running up the score.

I loved it. I wish Miles would do it more often. I especially like the 4 down situation trying to go up 42-3.

our statement this year was 5 losses

5-loss teams don't make statements. at least statements that matter

no it's not

but in the middle of the 4th being up by that score and throwing deep and faking punts = running up the score

look at troy you fools, tenn 05. 38-3 is not running up the score i dont care who you play. its called keeping their o off the feild which mean they had no chance to come back. frick any of you who say we ran up the score. usc ou uf do this every season and we end up with ot wins losses and last minute wins and losses just run the score up les your players wouldnt mind.

I don't think they were running it up for the hell of it. I think it was a message to PJ for the comments he made and the dirty play by the GT team.

i think you seen a team and coaching staff that was pissed with how they under achieved this year. so they took it out on GT, but i for one does not see any problem in running the score up on anybody. if you dont want to get the shite beat out of you, play better or coach better.

5 losses is the statement? you are a jack arse and an ugly one at that. its a statement for next season. go in ranked, prob higher than we would if we would have lost or won this game 3-0. keep momentum going into next season. look at the bigger picture here.

Not really bad play calling, just poor play as a result of lack of focus. it always happens in blowouts, its rare to see a team stay focused for a complete 60 minutes.

And the run up (if that is waht you call it) was due not so much to overall dominance(meaning full field drives) as much as Ga Tech making too many risky calls early in the 3rd quarter like going for it on 4th down on LSU's 40 yd line. The field advantage was flipped in LSU's favor all half long. You can't ask LSU to take a knee. And I have yet to hear that OU has run up the score with Bradford at helm. They belly slap the ever loving life out of teams.
