I mean his QB got hurt, what could he do? Let's just ignore the fact that three years prior a fricking third stringer won a national championship. Jimbo can still walk on water as a coach and LSU is forever doomed for not hiring him when we had the chance.

Jimbo’s FSU success was with a week ACC, week Gaytors and Hericanes, and a fantastic QB. ACC got tougher, his in state recruiting rivals got better, and his QB left.

Result, dumpster fire. If FSU is so loaded with talent they would have a better record.

Jimbo is now coaching in the hardest conference, the SEC West. He is facing numerous competition for Texas talent, and vastly superior QBs are extremely rare.

Jimbo is playing mostly with Sumlin players, and is producing Sumlin like numbers. I don’t see a coaching improvement. Member how loved Sumlin was in the beginning? And look how long they hung with him. I predict 5 years of same old Aggies. Middle of the pack performance.

Member Saban in '04? You think he coached that team to his full potential?

Yeah, he lost two games in a clear rebuild year and took an NFL job before the bowl game. That has what to do here, with my point?

He sure as hell didn't "take a year off."

Again, it takes a LNCHBOX or Fat Bastard type of fool to think a P5 coach takes a year off.

So you're at least the second person that didn't read my post.

You mean the post where you said FSU is "loaded with good players" but gave Jimbo a pass stating he "basically took last year off" because one player on his loaded team got injured. Yeah, I read your post. You really believe any coach wouldn't do everything he could to put his team in a position to win every week no matter what? If that were true, then that would be worse than leaving his team "in shambles".

Wasn't he benched? He's been atrocious this year. Maybe he was just a one-hit-wonder. I don't think Taggert is amazing but also don't think he's a garbage coach. Losing your QB shouldn't cause you to go into a tailspin the way FSU did last year. Even if Bama lost Tua and Hurts in the same game, I suspect they'd still win pretty much all of their games. Fisher deserves criticism for his job last year. No reason that team should go 6-6 in the regular season after losing decent but not great QB.

None of the other coaches took a year off at Texas, Miss St or LSU, why is Fisher allowed a pass?

And Taggart is taking the shambles to a totally different level of dysfunction.

Some LSU fans mentioned Taggart as a possible hire for LSU over Orgeron. It’s the silly season year round on TD.

He knew he was leaving a program that wouldn't give him the sorry he wanted and lost his QB in game 1. Is this a serious question?

You can keep misquoting me to deflect from your preposterous theories of coaches taking off years, but it won’t disguise the lunacy of your statement.

These points are SPOT ON.

He IS NOT worth 75 million in guaranteed money. His lone out may be that AM may pony up more for a DC that could very well help him out. But Fisher, as a HC, is perhaps the most overrated coach of all time. And the interesting thing to me is that people jump all over the place making excuses for him... and don't afford O the same. Hypocrisy at its finest.

It's not really interesting. One coach has a track record of success, with one bad season being the outlier. The other one does not have a track record of success, with the current season being the outlier.

Orgeron will be afforded benefit of the doubt when he earns it. Like most coaches.

False narrative.

Most publications that rate talent across college football rate FSU in the top 10, some in the top 5.

The o-line was left in shambles. They're pretty much stacked everywhere else.
