Sure bud They would have to be 1-3 play drives for your upsurd theory, which is not going to happen.

If we score 45-50 points and put up 500+ yards of offense per game I am sure our defense will love it. That would equate to 75 plays per game and 60%-40% possession time. I'll take it

Prolific offenses score, prolific defenses get shut out.

Bama D doesn't suffer and neither does Clemson

mickey mouse offense, just like mike leach.

Briles' offense is different. And I'd take a "mickey mouse" offense over Ensminger's hot mess offense any day of the week.

Yea that sounds great but we have a QB who just arrived months ago and a sub par OL. Any OC would have problems and not as efficient at this time.

I agree. Briles wouldn't be putting up anywhere near the #s he's putting up at UH.

But he'd still be getting a shitload more production with a new QB and a subpar OL than what we're seeing now. And he sure as hell wouldn't have gotten shut out against Bama.

I get that but he has to bring in his type of players for his system like any coach. But the most successful coach in LSU's history with possibly the most talented team also got shut out against Bama. It's a mindset right now playing them.

For sure!! I mean just look at Clemson & Alabama, Ohio State most years. These teams are not dynamic on offense

Who did they play is sort of silly.

They are still Houston.. so it’s irrelevant. They play their conference with their own conference team.

Yup.

Speaking of Clemson, they typically have great offenses and the ACC is incredibly weak.. it still translate over as they do score on Bama.

TOP isn’t as important if you are lighting up the scoreboard.

LSU has to score more TDs.

Give me a coordinator who finds ways to make it happen. We actually should throw for more TDs and probably run some jet sweep. Rams looked good with the jet sweep to Cooks to the end zone Sunday..

We were suppose to have the Rams offense dang it!

We need to desperately go a different direction. Give me a proven guy in college like K Briles all day, every day... please.

He's doing pretty well at UH in his first year there with all players he inherited, molding his system to their skills. And LSU has way more talent.

I'm sure most of those drives would take longer than our all too often 3 and out drives.

Clemson’s Total Defense rankings the last 5 years:

2018: 2nd
2017: 6th
2016: 9th
2015: 7th
2014: 1st

Extremely frustrating seeing more of these now than we did earlier in the season. Regress U.

I'm warming up to Briles. while at Baylor I just got the sense that he was a spoiled brat riding daddy's coattails. But I've come around on him in that regard.

The other thing was the baggage from the Baylor issue. I'm just not sure of what he knew and what he did about it. So there are unanswered questions for me there but I'm coming around on this as well.

One person I don't want is that douche bag Petrino.

With all that said, it will be difficult to run any offense if you don't have the talent and coaching at the OL.

Wrong.. Couldn't be more wrong. I posted the rankings of the AP top 10 last week on offense and defense - guess the ONLY outlier? LSUs's offense. There were a few mediocre defenses, but pretty much everyone else was in the top 30 for O and D, either scoring or yards or both.
