Wait...is that now your point? Not that they don't have an outstanding D, just that it might not be as good as some in the past?

really?

No doubt the level of competition is much weaker but I can damn near guarantee that if he were OC instead of Steve LSU would at least be in the top 75 in offense which would be a huge improvement.

Our current offense held the ball for all of 24 minutes VS Bama.

Wouldn’t you rather we score I. That time?

Will the defense suffer? Probably a little, but must of these teams go fast because they don’t have the talent to slow the game down and banknon our defense.

No if you think scoring more points will lower our # of wins then you are fricking stupid.

That's the biggest line of bullshite I have ever heard. Maybe the stats of the defense aren't in the top 10 but plenty of great offensive teams have more than adequate defenses. See Bama this year. Also see Clemson, also see FSU back in Crab Leg days.

NOPE, they took a step back. Replaced 8 starters, has nothing to do with a high powered offense.

No. But Bama is still tied for 1st in Scoring Defense and 8th in Total Defense. Is that not good enough for you?

LSU's defensive rankings would be much higher if they actually had an offense to keep them off the field and not tire them out.

Or maybe Houston’s defense sucks.

But if your wondering Clemson is 101st in TOP and 2nd in Total Defense.

Probably helps more to just be good on defense.

They're 4th in total defense this year. They held us to under 200 yards on offense and to 12 yard rushing. I'd say they're pretty good.

If anything, their defense has given up more points and yards this year than in previous years because their first team defense isn't playing into the 4th quarter.

Would Kendall Briles have better offensive numbers with this same LSU team this year?

That's the only question that matters.

so would you say it's impossible to have a top level offense with a top level defense?

Let's not forget that not only would they be more rested but they would be able to play more aggressive. The reason being if our offense turns the game in to a pass only to win it would really let our DBs shine and play the ball instead of reading run or pass.

We get it. This man wants to continue to take the conservative approach when it comes to offense.

He's probably a stubborn old fool and he will never change. Can't do anything about it.

not a moron

I don't want a big12 offense...i just want a good offense that can beat teams with great dlines and defenses. Most of those "dynamic" offenses don't look good against SEC type defenses.
