Just got the WAFB alert and seems like he is in the clear. He has a 10p.m. curfew and must stay away from the female.

That doesn't lend much credibility to dropping the case if restrictions are imposed on him.

Interesting. I'm not an attorney, but how can they have "restrictions" on him if the charges have been dropped?

eta: nevermind, apparently charges haven't been dropped

Doesn't sound like Davis will be playing for LSU this year.

Don't forget that once the criminal case is "adjudicated", LSU will then review the case for any violations of the student code of conduct.

Title IX is a huge topic of conversation in higher ed. It will take more than just the victim refusing to testify to clear him. There seems to be a preponderence of evidence he was involved in some sort of harassment that may have lead to domestic violence

I don't understand this statement ...

quote:

Johnson let Davis go and said he considers the matter resolved as of now if Davis follows the rules.

It's clearly not resolved yet if the charges haven't been dropped?

And there went her credibility. Can we drop this and move on, please?

Sounds like probation from a legal standpoint.

Suspension or dismissal from a football standpoint.

He's not in the clear at all, he's been given a curfew and released on bond while the process plays out.
