We have a OC staff based on recruiting and not coaching $ recruits now….relationships r useless
This. It’s time to start hiring from NFL staffs and maybe looking into expanding the Kyle Williams route and bringing in coaches from elite high school programs and smaller colleges that know how to coach these guys.

I could not understand yesterday the CEO says not word to Nuss just looks pissed...Het CEO wake the hell up and offer some advice because I honestly believe your mind is not the game or preparation...If this goes 8-4 or 7-5 he needs to be gone...I have faith and he knows what the problem is then please explain what is the issue Brian!

Nuss looks like dog shite with Sloan as the guy preparing him all preseason and the week before a game, what makes you think Sloan can prepare anyone to look good?
Because he’s obviously injured. The gun slinger can’t sling it 20 yards downfield anymore. That’s not a coaching problem that’s an injury problem. Now Joe Sloan is awful but there were at least 2 more touchdowns left on the field because Nuss couldn’t get the ball there. That’s enough to win this game. Nuss’s inability to throw the ball was the difference in the game. No matter how bad anything else sucked the plays were there for him to make and he wasn’t capable of doing it.
I think one leads to the other. If he’s injured (I personally think this), then it’s coaching malpractice to continue to trot him out there. If not, then it’s something in between his ears, or both.
Both fall squarely on the shoulders of the head coach. He’s supposed to put the team in the best position possible to win. He’s failing.

Josh pate has been painfully honest about our flaws all year and as much as we didn’t like what he had to see he was fully write. The offensive issues he’s called us out on were fully exposed vs Ole Miss. The offensive staff from top to bottom are not earning their paychecks rn

Our "recruits" are playing like dog turds. With the exception of our secondary. O line is the worst. They need to watch and learn from the bama O line.

BK is starting to hire people like Coach O did. You would think he'd pick someone good at both instead of 1 or the other. Then what's worse is BK won't admit if he screwed up where O was quicker to pull the trigger.

And people trashed Pate because he picked Ole Miss. Sloan is a HORRENDOUS hire and has been since day 1.

quote:you guys keep saying this but Pate has heard for a long while about LSU's offensive woes, even back to camp...and not just him, EVERYONE's heard it.
Josh pate sucks
but winning masks shite and nobody believes it, until bam, it costs you everything.
of course Pate was right. kudos to him for getting it right.

Have you not seen BK try this with Nuss? The kid is not coachable.

I think most of our fans had concerns about the offense. That’s not exactly hard to predict. I heard some of that from offseason reports as well.
Pate gets a lot of stuff wrong and right.

I don’t know if it’s mental or physical for Nuss but I don’t care. There’s no sense in waiting for him to snap out of it, if he can’t manage to look decent against that D, it’s going to bite you in the arse again.
I doubt MVB is a savior but I doubt he can be worse. I don’t want to waste having a legit D waiting on all of these issues to magically correct itself.
We don’t need great QB play for this team to be successful but it’s got to at least be average. It’s time to mix in some MVB and see if it provides a spark. I get why we haven’t yet given our starting schedule but during the bye is the perfect time to start looking at it and preparing him.
Will we? Probably not.

Yep. Has horrible attitude on the sideline.

Sloan is by no means a good OC, but Nuss is mainly liable for yesterday’s performance.
The running game issues are on the coaches. Sloan is predicatable, and Ole Miss knew everything that was happening. Sloan is the bigger issue.

Yeah our OL is not good but you magnify a bad OL with predictable playcalling, they have almost no chance at that point.
