Any coach wanting to run with the big dogs looks at LSU and they know if O can win it all they can too. That’s the good news.

Ed Orgeron is the best and worst thing to happen to the profile of the LSU job

So, you think Lincoln Riley would be a bad hire?

He wouldn't be a bad hire, but he's not at the top of my list.

And special Ed has us getting beat by UCLA and skull fricked by the wildcats. In football.

I could definitely see SW bring in Riley. He’d def be a splash and he’s an offensive minded coach which seems to be Woodys MO. Get him a legit DC and let’s wreck shite.

Respectfully disagree. Woodward will have the backing of the University & Donors to reel in a big name HC. Extremely important hire for LSU.

that is awesome

look, two morons won nattys here. any proven HC who can call 1 side of the ball and recruit can win BIGLY here. riley would win bigly here.

The fact is the last 3 coaches for LSU all won a national title.

If Miles can do it with 2 losses and a shrimp boat captain can put together the greatest season in history, then a good coach coming in can do so much more.

Saban woke a sleeping giant. For 20 years we’ve reaped the rewards. We’ve obviously had some meh years but again that was because we hired two guys who had significant issues. Yet they were both still able to have a fair to good amount of success.

LSU is a blue blood that also sports a New Iberia Haircut.

Hahaha all these people acting like they know better than all the CFB experts saying Lincoln Riley wouldn’t be a good hire. Here’s a list of better current coaches in CFB than Lincoln Riley:
1. Nick Saban
That’s it that’s the list. Riley is younger than Day and can actually call plays unlike Dabo. There’s a reason he got such a premier job like OU as his first head coaching job and better yet, his growing pains have all taken place at OU. He had the guts to put in a true freshman in his biggest game of the season over the pre season Heisman favorite. Their defense is light years ahead of what it was and they’re absolutely killing it on the recruiting trail. If we don’t hire him, they’re going to be a tough opponent for the foreseeable future.

Not that I wouldn't want Riley, I think he would be great. But you kind of made his point. Losing to a team that goes 5-4 in the Big 12 when you're a top 10 team isn't good. Both of them were vastly inferior teams.

Would love that hire, but I think we’d have to drastically over pay him.

He’s making goood money at OU for a coach with no ring.

He may be the highest paid coach without a championship.

Are your saying OU doesn’t have vastly superior talent to Kansas State and Iowa State?

All he needs at OU is DB's. He's managed to find everything else, even a good front 7. LSU would be such a perfect fit, but it's a complete pipe dream. he's not even a sexton client. it would be a big bidding war if he thought about it and OU would match just about everything.
