Close, but Pete passed at 40.

Wow! So sad. Did Josh have a family? The article I read didn't mention it.

I would think he would have been checked for this.

I delivered mail to all three. Never asked the mom about pistol Pete. I’ve talked to her to say hi but didn’t want to talk about him. Never met either one of the boys. Sad for the family.

Thanks for pointing that out. 42 is VASTLY OFF from 40. You wouldn't want anyone thinking that Josh's 42 was "pretty much" the same age as 40, right?

Certainly, if you were to ask a 40-year-old diagnosed with terminal cancer, they would likely perceive a significant difference between the ages of 42 and 40.

To my knowledge, Pete nor Josh were diagnosed with terminal cancer. So in a world where human life expectancy is between 74-79 years, I think it's ok to say that 40 and 42 are "pretty much" the same age.

And if you asked a 3 year old they wouldn’t perceive any difference between the ages 5 and 42. What’s your point?

Pete was missing his left coronary artery. He was born without it--an exceptionally rare condition. They can't just fix it. You can bypass blockages, but you can't simply place a blood vessel where there is none. His right coronary artery enlarged over his the course of his life to compensate somewhat, but in time, the diseased area that suffered from poor blood flow caused an infarction that killed him.
Not sure if this is true or medically accurate, but repeating what I've heard over the years. Pete was a heavy drinker which actually helped with his heart issue. It didn't allow clotting or whatever it was (can't remember this part specifically). When he quit drinking and was in recovery, that's when his heart got him. Again, just regurgitating rumor - no idea if true.

Has there been any other information on Josh? I haven't found anything online. Just keep thinking about the family.

As to cause of death? Have heard nothing. Funeral is tomorrow in Covington and burial will be in Baton Rouge presumably with his dad.
