It's pretty crazy to think about all the random stuff that had to happen for this moment to unfold, but this one start is going to keep him in the minds and hearts of LSU fans in perpetuity.

We’ve got a new LSU term…
“goin’ Jontre” on them!
An all out baller if you ask me.

I’m extremely happy for jontre and he handled the whole situation extremely well and his quotes afterwords are what it’s all about.

He’s the kind of tiger this team needs.

I think he just solidified a roster spot on the Patriots for the next 5-10 years. DB, WR, QB fits the mold.

It was pretty damn awesome.

Honestly, this was a pretty fun bowl experience, getting to see these guys show up and line up knowing they were totally outmatched on the field, but especially on the sideline.

But they played hard the whole game and even looked like they were having some fun out there. Ward, Ojulari, and obviously Kirklin did the purple and gold proud for sure.

Yes, I’m glad it was late as hell on a Tuesday night when the rest of the country has already forgotten about college football for the year lol, but I’m glad we got to see it

I’ll likely remember that shite show over some of the morning New Year’s Day slog fests against a big ten foe

Kid played his heart out. As ugly as the game was, I was still able to get excited every time one of our guys made a play. That's what sports is all about.

It's stuff like this that makes me love college sports. We'd all rather be winning championships but to really see that human aspect of the game, to witness a guy in a true underdog role live a very unlikely dream of playing QB for LSU, to watch his teammates beam with pride at his effort, etc. you don't really get that anywhere else.

My favorite sentimental moment in college sports is when it's late in basketball season and they put in the guy that's been practicing with the team all year and hasn't logged one minute of playing time. They feed him the ball in the corner and he jacks up a 3 and makes it; watching the sideline erupt with joy and then mob him with hugs at the next timeout is just so cool to watch. This was as close to the football equivalent to that moment i think i'll ever see.

Now lets go recruit some dogs and go kick some arse next year.

I completely agree. That young man did a great job last night. He and the rest of the team looked like they enjoyed the game.

The future is bright.

With his ability to play so many positions and his high character and athleticism , you gotta think there’s a place in the NFL for him (at least special teams). Great young man with a great future regardless of vocation.

He was somehow way better than Anthony Jennings and Andrew Hatch, dudes that started SEC games for us.

He honestly wasn’t much worse than Brandon Harris

Lol no he won’t.

I’m as proud of him as anyone, but this game will be forgotten soon enough.
Rightfully so.
