You can't fire a coach off one bad season. Especially when he's improved the program every year before that. They should be another top 4 SEC team next season if Blakeney and Quarterman return. I don't see what all the fuss is about.

Oh really?

Year 1: 12 losses 9-9 conference
Year 2: 14 losses 9-9 conference
Year 4: 14 losses

Give me your depth chart for next season if both return? I'm still trying to figure out how you just easily plug someone in to take the place of 20-10-5.

Alleva has a reputation for covering his own arse politically and dodging around difficult decisions. Sounds like somebody else that's in office.

How about you look at wins and what matter a lot more? of course you would pull up losses and make it look like Jones was doing a terrible job. Idiot

19, 20, & 22 wins in his 1st 3 seasons. He's won at least 19 games every season. That should get you boardline NCAA Tournament every season.

It's really not hard to make it look like he did a terrible job when he in fact did a terrible job. I'll say he did elevate us from absolutely atrocious to mediocre in his first year. There is no other way to describe this past season besides abject failure.

Why because it supports you ridiculous idea on improvement each year? The wins dont matter unless they are in the post season. Who gives a shite because we one ONE additional game from year 1 to year 2 when we lost an additional 2. This aint football bro.

I dont even have to work hard to do that. He does it for me.

We have regressed. Play make believe and act like an additional win or 2 means something but you are just making yourself look dumb. And I love how you left out this years win total...wonder why?

Alright but one failed year shouldn't characterized Jones tenure so far.

It was a mixture of bad coaching (which can be improved), trying to involve the offense around one player (Simmons), lack of PG play (Mays coming in), a bench that was 2 deep for most of the year (more depth next season), injuries, lack of effort down the stretch (@Tenn & A&M) and bad luck that caused the team to be put in this siutation. To say it all comes on Jones is being one-sided and not looking at the whole picture.

Some of these factors can be put on Jones, but it will take more than one season to say that development and lack of bench were all on Jones. They could play better as a "team" next season without Simmons and the pressure that is put on them. There was no flow with the offense when you have Simmons handling the ball at the top of the key.

Obviously your plain cut on this team not improving whatsoever. Go find another team if that's the case. To say it's impossible for it to happen is retarded itself

I said it already, he needs to win a game in the NCAA Tournament next season or I'll agree that he needs to go.

I just dont get why we expect him to do more, with less. Whats the point of keeping him if we already know what the outcome will be?
It's also something he's never done in his entire coaching career. So now the bar is set at something he's never accomplished?

This is what you call Delaying The Inevitable. It's pointless and only lessens the program for when he is fired.
